I always keep my promises. I am proud of my children and am so grateful for my parents who taught me what is important in life. Weeknights I'm typically a home body but like to go out for dinner occasionally (I'm not a great cook, lol). Weekends are for movies or going out at night mixed with yard work and chores during the day. I love to laugh and it doesn't take much to make it happen. I am very fit. I like running 5&10K's, duathlons, adventure races(they're a blast) - they are a good excuse for travelling, lol I realize that not everyone is that hooked on exercise and that's fine. The Bontanical Garden. They have lots of events. Alabama Football game - South Alabama Basketball game. Visting musems - I do love to be at home and do nothing - what a concept in 2009, The book store or walk to Cottage Hill Park or cycling then come home soak in the spa. To me the simple life is the best life for me - being close to nature and being active is a blessing - each morning I love to walk around my flower beds to check out what's going on, what's blooming, how many bees are after the nector, how big has the spider web gotten. What needs trimming - what area needs weeding. My profession gives me lots of free time especially from Oct to May - most days I take off in the afternoons - "On those days I will have dinner ready for you". I am very open to listening to others and learning about them - I like people and find most people very interesting. Doing what that special other wants to do confirms - it's better to give than receive. I already have my cake (life) now I just need the icing-I prefer vanilla. I prefer to listen to oldies rock, folk, and light jazz. I enjoy playing in Irish sessions and learning new/old folk songs. Good baroque is always a favorite. I love a good romantic movie, but also like lots of action. I like to read and am usually involved in: historical, science fiction/fantasy, and/or political intrigue. So much for me...:)I'm looking for someone who enjoys music, life and nature. I like quiet competance...not someone who has to tell me she knows stuff. I also am more confortable with someone who has a spiritual side.
