A bit more about me...native of Alabama and although I have traveled quite a bit domestically and internationally for work and pleasure, I have lived in Alabama all my life and still like to find places and activities nearby (or a weekend trip away) to visit. I can feel just as home at black tie events around town as I can traveling the dirt roads and being out in the countryside where the cell phones don't reach. My work is very varied, and can be intense at times, but is interesting and challenging (or I would look elsewhere). I work in heavy industry at a management level that involves the outdoors and sometimes getting good and dirty as well as long days in corporate meetings and the like, and I probably work too much (but when enjoyed, it's hard to notice). Most would describe me as someone that can laugh and cut-up with the best, but with a serious and intellectual side when necessary. I hunt more than fish, but enjoy both as much for the outdoor time as the sport. Not much of a golfer, but play when invited, enjoy snow skiing and swimming, and would like to get back on the tennis court some...played competitively in my school days but not much since.
Would like to meet someone that shares not only some of my interests, but will share some of theirs with me. Someone that enjoys varied and stimulating conversation, even debate, on most any sort of topic, from global warming to finding the best local bar-b-que. And we should have a sense of adventure while maintaining the responsibilities of everyday life we all have. And of course, share a sense of humor, maybe even a bit of humor at each other's expense - everyone needs to be able to take a friendly jab ever now and again!
