A little about me on the outside: I love my job and what I do, but I need to counter that by saying you and family are more important than work. I tend to bring work home with me; I have a pinball machine that I built from scratch, I have an automated bar in my garage that will be a coke machine soon, and i'll tinker with stuff all the time. Fortunately, since i bought my house, I have a “man-cave” room so most of the mess stays in there. It's been a few years since my last tub of Legos got dumped on the living room floor!
I very much enjoy cooking and eating. I am not artistic at all, but slap a spatula in my hand and I can do pretty well! I don't have a favorite food or even ethnicity, but I am a little tired of Turkish food at this point :-P
A typical end to my weekday includes cooking a quick and easy dinner (No, it's still done on the stove or oven, not microwave), kicking back with a micro-brew, and enjoying 1 or 2 TV shows before I go spend the rest of the night on the computer chatting with friends all over the country. I moved from Indiana a year ago so I am very far from most of the people I grew up with.
On a weekend, i'll be futzing around the house trying to get all of my little projects finished. But with a companion I would enjoy a hike around the state park, a trip to an amusement park or water park (I love roller coasters), or an outdoor concert in the evening. I also enjoy shooting sports: I've got an AR-15 sniper rifle, skeet shotgun, a long barreled pistol, and a re-curve bow. I want to start getting into the 3-gun shooting events as a new past time activity. I am not one who thinks everyone is bad and that I need to carry a gun at all times either. I just enjoy them for the sport. The boys from work and I will also spend a morning playing Airsoft (It's like paintball) if it's not too hot outside.
I am the kind of guy that will open the car door for you most of the time, I will always hold the door for someone at a store or restaurant, I'll have a vase of flowers on the table even if I am not in the dog house, i'll call you and ask you out to lunch during the work week, I try and say 'yes ma'am' and sir as much as possible, and I don't have a problem meeting your folks or going to family gatherings. I get along with almost everyone, kids included so if you happen to have one or two rug-rats, i won't go running. I have worked with kids from ages 4-6 with swim lessons, middle school kids with Lego robotics and private diving lessons, and high school kids with FIRST robotics.
I am a pretty physical partner, I like holding hands in the car or walking in a store, i'll hug you every time I see you, i'll kiss you at red lights, and when we are just lounging, i'll probably be holding your hand or rubbing your feet. On the weekends, I really enjoy waking up next to that special someone, sneaking out of bed to make breakfast, then waking her with the smells of coffee and cinnamon sugar pancakes.
I am looking for someone who has a job, or is in school to start their career, enjoys spending time together, but can stand being away for a few weeks if i have to leave for work (I am faithful!), and someone that enjoys their own activities and wants to share them with me (and vise verse).
Companionship means the world to me, friends or more.
