The remaining details of my life are quite inconsequential. My father, a peripatetic dentist and descendent of Lithuanian kabbalists, and my mother, a one-legged cuban/chinese with turrets syndrome (ask me about her peculiar verbal tic; it caused a few international incidents in the 1970s) engaged the family in a circuitous, labyrinthian, and quixotic crusade against tooth decay in rural Patagonia. It was there, in my youth and naivet?, and surrounded by bad oral hygiene and vaulted peaks, that I first learned to whistle all the songs from the soundtrack to Hair. It proved to be an ominous harbinger.
The clan finally settled in north east Ohio, where, due to an odd ethnic mix in our town, and my own polyglot heritage, I attended a combined jewish/catholic parochial school; Our Lady of Perpetual Guilt. Just preceding my 22nd birthday, I was given an honorary high school diploma, banned permanently from the gymnasium and natatorium, and asked to return several pieces of equipment I had stolen while the president of the AV club for the preceding 6 years. Following graduation, I drank a 12-pack of wine spritzers and stayed out all night. When I sobered, I attended several prestigious institutions of higher education in locals near and asunder, pursuing an advanced degree in cosmology, with hopes of a career as a futurist (possibly on a cruise ship). Fate, the cruel mistress, intervened, and marooning me in Boulder County, forced upon me a degree in transformative dance from the Naropa Institute, shortly following my 41st birthday.
Leaving the carefree life of higher education aside, I turned to my other, all consuming passion: trolling internet dating profiles in search of the most awesomest mate, a recalcitrant quotidian and mauve, my other 46%, and the harmonic union, unconditional regard, and erotic synthesis of all that is good, right and true in the universe.

I also enjoy road trips that are close in proximity or across the country. This summer, my son and I traveled down into Louisiana, Florida, uo into Pennsylvania and Illinois and back to Colorado. It was a great experience!
