Oh yes it's June 2012 and the opening of county fairs has just begun. Soon to be followed by the grand finale of our own state fair. I mean the state fair is fine, especially the giant batter dipped corn dog, a six dollar bargain and diabeties on a stick :). For me I will make my way to the Alameda county fair in Pleasanton. Close by, livestock, exhibits, food, drink, carnies ;), and of course has been music performers:). This year is no exception with rock legends 38 special and Rick Springfield:).
I remember attending the Contra Costa County Fair and seeing none other than Loverboy :). Mike Reno (the lead singer) was actually the size of Reno and he could not hit any recognizable notes :). He yelled to the audience "this is as good as I get" and we all cheered him on. He sang the song " It's Over" and we all agreed it probably was;). Funny thing is we all sang along and had an amazing time. Maybe it was the second hand herbal cloud which hung over the crowd but so be it we all loved it:).
This year I plan on seeing Rick Springfield. Yes, Doctor Noah Drake and singer of on of my most haunting, mind numbing tunes, Jessie's Girl. I recently just saw a photo of Rick and he barely has aged and women still swoon :) yes I used swoon over his boyish looks. I freakin hate you boyish Rick :). I will be in the crowd singing my heart out to such memorable hits like Jessie's Girl, Human Touch, Don't Talk to Strangers, and I've Done Everything For You:).
Wow do you think Rick ever had to go on Match to find his partner in life:). So what is the point of all this ? Well we all change and grow each day. My two sons are the most important things in my life. They are now older, 23 and 18, and are venturing down their own life paths, but we still get out for great bike rides, eating out, sporting events, and do a lot together. They are great young men. Regardless of their age, we are always still a parent.
I'm a very stable guy - have a great 23 year career with a strong company. I commute and work in downtown SF. I am loyal, kind and very considerate. I also still believe in holding the door open for my special gal.
I feel that I am at a great place in my life in so many respects. I love to exercise: running, hiking, biking, weights, etc. which gives me such an endorphin rush. I actually feel better now than I did when I was younger - I just "get" life so much more now and have the years of experience to understand and appreciate it so much better. BUT, I am actually still very young at heart! I love to be silly, playful, laugh and have fun. Yes, I am at midlife, but still enjoy being youthful...I think my kids have kept me young all these years.
I really like the themes of "Pay It Forward" and "The Bucket List" which both left strong impressions on me about living and enjoying life. I also do my best not to "sweat the small stuff". While I work hard and give a lot to what I'm doing at the time, I try to keep things in perspective and balanced.
I enjoy nature and being in the mountains, but I truly love the beach and the sun. There is nothing like a sunset at the beach just sitting and feeling the sand, smelling the fresh air and listening to the waves while the glow of the sun fades on the horizon....and to experience that with someone special is all the better!
I love to travel and see different places. While I have been to Italy, London, Japan, Alaska, Hawaii, Caribbean, and many US states there are so many places and beaches still to see.

Meet people from Alabama, United States. A friend asked me what kind of woman I was looking for. All right, I like smart. Enthusiastic or passionate, whatever you call it. You going on about your job, your motorcycle, painting, whatever.... I get it. Attractive (obviously). Fit and athletic is a plus. Honest please -- honesty in a relationship is a big deal to me. Games are stupid. I believe in chemistry, and that just happens when it happens.

Me: I live for the things that charge me up. Sometimes it’s things I do, building furniture, some photography (going pro this year, which sounds more impressive than it is -- really!), rebuilding my house -- top to bottom, it feels like. (Hey! I can fix stuff and build stuff!) I’d probably be on my motorcycle more if I had an enthusiastic passenger. Less bicycling than I used to, but I still like bike rides. I listen to a lot of music. OK, that’s just stuff. But it’s not, it’s the stuff that keeps my fires burning. My wonderful teenage daughter, who is the light of my life. What excites you?
I’m smart enough and I like intelligent women, but I’m not into all night academic talk. No thanks. I mean it about honesty in a relationship, on both sides. Seems easy enough.
