I was born in Nashville, TN, but have lived in several places (most in TN, now in Huntsville, AL). So far I have enjoyed everywhere I have wound up, but now I've been here, in this one place, for 8 years, and it's beginning to look like home. Therefore, I'm finally getting around to trying to find someone to build a home and a family with. Might be a little late in the game considering my age, but I feel I've finally matured enough to move on to the next phase in my life.
I love learning things, and try to learn something new on a daily basis. In fact, being self taught in my trade is what got me where I am. I'm currently trying to learn meteorology in my spare time.
I enjoy helping others, and I'm an active emergency management volunteer for my county. I'm an amateur radio operator (not as nerdy as it sounds), and I enjoy being able to use this to help out in emergency situations (such as 4/27).
If I had to summarize my social life, currently, I'd say it's lacking. I have a couple of real close friends here, but we rarely get out. I used to get out all the time but it seems like mostly a bunch of immature kids out there nowadays. I'd rather give this a shot. This does NOT mean I wouldn't be willing to go out and be social with someone new, however.
