I try to live a balanced life; always keeping in mind what has eternal value, and what is only temporal. I take seriously what God takes seriously, and I take everything else light heartedly. I am an honest and hard working engineer with a good sense of humor. I grew up in the Midwest and moved to Huntsville because of my job. I have lived here long enough that it is home. I prefer to think that I work to live and am looking forward to the day that I can jettison the day job and have more time for living. I love to travel both in the US and abroad. I also like to cycle and on my last two trips I was able to work in a couple of bike tours. I like to get to the lake and fish. There is nothing like being on the lake when all of nature is waking up. I also like to go to live theater whether it is a local show or one on Broadway. How about snuggling on the couch with a good movie on a rainy day? I enjoy entertaining and have no trouble finding my way around the kitchen.
Who am I looking for - now that is the 50 cent question? I have come to understand as I have gotten older that if I am looking for someone that meets every criteria that I can think of then I will probably be looking a long time. Just as I doubt that I meet every criteria that someone else has. So to begin with I would want this lady to be a friend. She would be someone that I shared a sense of enjoyment being with and that she enjoyed being with me.
