Sigh. Another dating profile. By far the hardest thing with these is accuracy. It's not honesty because nothing is being hidden. But it's accuracy, in that I know I only have a short window of attention before you stop reading.
About me, uh, I'm never married, no children--first and foremost. I'm clean (emotionally, I mean). I'm a six month convert to Jesus and tremendously excited about it. I'm not celibate, nor chaste, nor moralizing, but excited, and this is the best word. Excited, and loved and loving back. I was recently asked "so, what do you have to offer"? Certainly, my career is crap. At 42, I'm at a crossroads. I can't fix anything, I have no handy skills, I'm an excellent typist. She concluded with "well, you look good, you're smart, you're a great conversationalist and you have outstanding, um, MAN qualities." So I suppose that, like unto like, this is what I'm seeking here: I don't care what you do, I don't care who you know, I do care that you have a brain and what you look like. I care about the quality of time spent together in a vacuum, without achievments to prop us up--do we GET ALONG, just get along, on a most basic level? Is there rapport? Do we want to consume each other like food?
