Trombone was my principal instrument and I was in the Jazz Ensemble (played a concert at NYU), Asst Director of the Basketball Pep Band, Wind Ensemble, and was Drum Major of the Million Dollar Band...all in another life:) I am looking for someone who understands my passion for my work; my need for creativity and desire to learn and explore more about life. She should have a desire, herself, to make the most out of what life offers. I am a thinker and love conversations that expand both my knowledge and my spiriual growth. My perfect Gal would be a thinker that believes that we should have much compassion for those in need and does all she can to lift the spirits of those people. That is the opposite of many I have been in relationships with; it is the opposite of selfish. Someone with me should not feel they need to be selfish, as I will for always make sure she has the attention she needs. I am a very thoughtful man; rather enjoying giving unexpected cards to bring more smiles to a woman's day. And I truly appreciate when someone goes out of their way to do the same for me. We all have tough spots in life, but when you have a life partner that will do the little things, you make it through more easily. I am an honest person as well and would ask that I be treated with the same respect, the respect we show our friends. I am not a cheater and never will be (not one time have I slept with another woman while in a committed relationship)....just not my nature. I have too much empathy for people's pain to break my promises and cause heartache. NOW, I soooo much enjoy sex in every place and position possible, but one passionate woman is plenty for me. I love kids that show respect for adults and mind and I love the silly laughter and unexpected things they do and say. I have one daughter who sometimes gets very silly, but is very respectful, independent, creative, smart (23 on ACT in 7th grade, 28 at 15ys and headed to the Alabama School of Math and Sciences next year), and must be treated as if she were my best GalPal's own. I will always be golden to your children, as if they were mine, hoping to share the way Christ has taught me to treat people.
I am looking for someone who is spiritual, but not judgementally religious. I am Methodist as I have found that doctrine, thus far, answers most of my hard questions the best. But your values are more important to me than what religion or denomination you are a member. All the world's great religions have many basic common principles in them and I am more than willing to explore different views. I grew up Pentacostal, became an atheist, tried Baptist, studied the great religions (not in depth, but enough to see the good) and came to a Methodist way of approaching life. Salvation is about self; I believe more in the selflessness of social justice. I choose to follow two main principals: Love God and Love your neighbor (enemy or not). I can't do the first without the second. If you are so selfless as to be able to make strides every day to accomplish the second, we are likely a good match and our relationship will last, having smiles and laughter often.That's the ultimate goal.
