OK, where to begin....I have been a widow for almost 3 years. My husband was in the defense industry and we lived in the Washington, D.C. area for many years before retiring and moving south. I was a Medical Administrator. I raised two beautiful daughters who are both music teachers! My youngest lives in Arlington, Virginia and is expecting her first, and my first grandchild!, so I will be visiting in Northern Virginia quite a lot.
I have the wisdom gained from a life well-lived while still appreciating life's hilarious ironies. I am healthy, active and outgoing while also enjoying my quiet times alone at home. I love the outdoors and tending to my plants and pets, taking my Doberman on great walks, walking the nature trails in the woods behind my house or just meditating on my deck. I love to travel. Ours is a beautiful country with many places IРІР‚в„ўd like to visit or revisit, also adventure on/to the more exotic venues such as cruises to Alaska, , a train trip across the US or through Canada, or even to more far flung destinations such as Australia/New Zealand. On a less grand scale I enjoy the Gulf coast and the Tennessee/Carolina mountains.
As you can see I’m a “word” person. I enjoy indulging in the double meanings of words, and love the banter of conversation- serious, frivolous, and even titillating- at the appropriate time. I have a tendency occasionally to be “playfully sarcastic” and enjoy someone who can throw it back at me—all in fun of course.
