I am a small town girl living in a big city world right now and trying to adapt. It was my dream to move out of my small town after college and see what big city life was all about, hence, the new job, new apartment, whole new lifestyle. I recently finished my Master's Degree in History with a Bachelor's in Criminal Justice. I have a lot of education and not a clue what I really want to do with my life so please don't be intimidated. I have learned school/college isn't for everyone and while I love to learn I am also a true blonde who can be quite ditzy and air headed at times. Yes, I am a nerd and I am not ashamed to admit it.
I love getting to know new people but have a hard time making new friends, for some reason my shyness comes off as bitchiness but trust me, once I get to know someone I rarely shut up. I can also be quite sarcastic but don't mean to be mean, I am usually trying to be funny but sometimes it doesn't come out that way. I like to go to the movies but prefer dinner and conversation. I enjoy music of all kinds. I can find humor in most situations. I am the girl you can watch football with and not have to explain things (basketball and baseball too for that matter) I enjoy sports, watching and playing them. I also will admit to being a fan of video games and own my own Wii. I like to drive around and find new things to do in Birmingham and there is a lot to do compared to my small town. I will admit I prefer the beach to the mountains but don't mind a walk in the woods sometimes as long as it isn't a 5 mile hike. Ha! I love to curl up and watch movies. I like to read but haven't had time for that much lately. I am ambitious, fun loving, honest and loyal. I am sometimes overbearing and generally have no problem saying what I think, after I get to know you.
I am looking for someone who is confident with a great sense of humor. Someone who is honest, has integrity and isn't afraid to express his feelings. My match has to be fun loving and up for adventure but also doesn't mind a quiet night at home or curling up with a good book on a rainy afternoon. I wish I could say I was an optimist but due to my line of work I am generally a pessimist and would like an optimist in my life to remind me the world isn't all bad. My political views tend toward the liberal side but I am always willing to discuss them and hear a different point of view. I may not like your views but I don't mind agreeing to disagree. I am not looking for perfection as I am far from perfect, but I am looking for acceptance, you allow me to be me and I will allow you to be you.
