Meet someone special from United States. My friends would say that I am a workaholic for I still do work and I still do enjoy it. I love to do homecrafts, especially greeting cards and if I say so my self, I am very good at it. Most types of crafts interest me, knitting, crochet, painting, and have been known to make some of my own clothes. Also into making jams and jellies and homemade jerky and into trying all kinds of recipes. I have been told that I have am a very good cook. I enjoy setting a well versed table. I have lived all over the states and abroad and dearly love England. I consider myself a transplanted Virginian at heart. I enjoy a good book, a good movie, and a good meal and not necessarily in that order. Have pets and they are important to me. Have kids, grandkids, and great grands, but all live away from home and Grandma's is not a stop over place. I've raised my kids, now its their turn. I'm a retired widow. I've been retired from the school system for about 13 years and have been a widow for 2 years. I love being retired but I do not like being a widow! This is the second time I have been widowed and it has been very hard putting my life together each time. I managed to do it the first time and...I'm doing it again! I will survive!
I have a wonderful family. I have a daughter that is a school nurse in Hopkinsville, Ky. She is married and has 3 grown children. She is a new grandmother which makes me a...yep...a great grandmother. So, if you have a problem with that...I guess you should check out the younger ladies. I love being a great grandmother!
I have a son that lives in Navarre, Fa. He is married and is self employed. He owns an aerial photography business, among other things. No kids...just a very hyper Jack Russell!
I have a group of lady friends (most of whom are widowed) that keep me busy. We spend a great deal of time together shopping, going out to eat, shopping, playing cards, shopping, traveling, shopping, scrapbooking, shopping, and oh yes...shopping! They have been my support system, as well as my friends, since my husband died.
I am a Christian. My church and my relationship with God are very important to me. I will not get involved with anyone that would not go with me to church.
I hope, one day, I can meet someone to spend time with. I'm not necessarily wanting to get married again, but would consider it if the right person comes along. As I said, he would need to be a Christian and a non-smoker. He would definitely have to be a man of character that believes in being honest with the lady in his life. I have just gotten out of a relationship with a man that broke my heart because...he WAS NOT honest with me!
It would be nice if he likes to fish...I love it! He must also like football! I so look forward to the fall when football season begins. I'm an avid Auburn fan...have season tickets on the 40 yard line, which I've been getting since the late 50's.
I enjoy the beach but as I've gotten older, I find I had rather spend time in the mountains than at the beach. I enjoy dining at fine restaurants...but had just as soon go to Maddy's Hotdog's down the street.
I enjoyed planting flowers and watching them grow. I love picnics and walks on the beach. I enjoy concerts and off Broadway plays. I recently saw "Jersey Boys", in Atlanta. I love playing cards with friends, male and female.
I LOVE easy listening music and "oldies", since I am an "oldie". We have a beautiful park in my town that has "Music by Moonlight" in the summer. We pack a picnic dinner, take our chairs, eat and kick back and enjoy!

I see myself as honest, respectful, usually outgoing, and friendly (but we all have our off days) and I hope the world also sees those attributes.
