Let me first say that I am EXTREMELY passionate about life...this might be the only one we get, so letРІР‚в„ўs live it up to the max, no?? Finding someone who can keep up with me can be a bit of a challenge, but I know he's somewhere around this beautiful (and quite large) bay of ours.
Laughing is at the very top of my list...honestly, is there anything better than the kind of laughter that you literally can't control? WeРІР‚в„ўre talking the shoulder convulsing, tears streaming down your cheeks, freak-fest kind of laughter!?! I'm looking for someone who not only appreciates and relishes those moments, but wants to create them regularly by seeing life in the most joyous, positive, and quirky of ways...even when things aren't necessarily going great or coming easy.
Traveling and learning are number two and three on my list. I never thought of myself as a language person, but then I moved to Brazil for three months (to visit an old friend) and soaked in Portuguese like I never thought possible. The sensation was honestly like I was using an entirely different part of my brain (which I probably was), and I was lucky enough to experience the challenge and excitement of thinking and communicating in completely new and (pardon the pun) foreign ways...incredible.
I live to take risks, push the envelope, and think way outside the box...I'd love someone in my life who could challenge, excite, and push me even further. I believe that starting with the foundation of friendship and trust is an absolute key and is being forgotten about in this fast-paced dating culture that has developed.

If one date doesn't work out, it's on to the next. All that choice is great, but to make real connections you have to take the time to get to know someone. About my background- I was born and raised in California. I work in public health (not political as listed) and have been loving my work since my first day at the job. I do virus work, mostly molecular, and can't get enough of it. I work with a great group of people who are also fellow foodies so my work life blends in to my social life seamlessly. That said, I do require decompression, which sometimes means watching netflix and eating cereal all day in my Skinny Puppy shirt and pajamas. In general, I work hard and party hard, and I like to geek out on my work but I'm not the academic type. I am somewhat of a chameleon- mostly quirky but can blend in to almost any environment (and definitely not a Marina-type girl, they scare me).
Sports are good for watching. I like soccer (root for Real Madrid and Barcelona) and try to catch the friendlies when they come through the bay area. My responsible life comes to a grinding halt during world cups. Love the Giants and try to catch games when I can, sometimes go to A's games, too. Hockey is okay. Not sure I should put this out there...but... I've liked NASCAR since I can remember. There, I said it.
Who am I looking for? I'd like to meet people who balance work, social outings, family, and downtime like I do. As long as someone is humble and kind, it's worth getting to know that person. These days it seems like people categorize each other and relationships right away after the first date and determine its fate immediately. I don't understand this phenomenon. It takes time and solid effort to get to know people, and I just take it as it goes, no pressure and no expectations. I should add that I am not looking for anything casual. . I grew up in California and moved to NYC in High School. I moved back to SF almost 8 years ago. All of my family is now back here so it felt like the right move. . IРІР‚в„ўm not a bike rider or hiker but I will do both 2-3 times a year if there is a waterfall involved or some sort of pot of gold at the end of the journey. Getting tan while doing these activities is a BONUS. I love trying new ways to workout, boot camp, pliates, boxing? I believe Laughter is an instant vacation. If you can't find something funny in your day to tell me about by the end of the day we are probably not a fit. I feel that a grown man...any man... should never wear a crystal with a story behind it around his neck;) I like to read on sandy beaches. He must be able to laugh at himself ...and others (sorry itРІР‚в„ўs true). Be compassionate and have a strong sense of self with a spectacular heart. Witty, kind, and genuine are all must haves. I did not think this was one of my must haves but ambition is really attractive!
