I'm a purebred Cali girl! Born and raised in Nor Cal (should be its own fantabulous state) and just relocated back from LA area to SF for a job promotion (9 months ago). Love working in marketing and I get to travel a bit, but having work/life balance is mandatory for me!
So, what am I all about?
To start... quality versus quantity! I am not a serial dater but I would probably enjoy cereal on a date! Clearly, you'll see that I'm a series of contradictions! :-) I can be sassy (but still classy) and like to spice it up, but I'm nice to everyone from the homeless person to the quirky waiter to the random old person at the coffee shop. Can take it as well as I can dish it! Definitely goofy (rarely take myself too serious) and find the "funny" in most situations, but it's fun to "geek out" and have a bit of an analytical side too. Can't sing BUT I love karaoke! Prefer to eat healthy majority of the time BUT I love a good burger or a dark chocolate anything. In a nutshell... I am passionate about the 3 F's (friends, family, fun), maximizing new experiences (culture, music, TRAVEL), exploring the world (from high end trips to 3rd world countries), finding creative outlets, exploring SF's food scene (well known chefs to hole in the wall gems), even attempting to conquer new recipes in my own kitchen (with only the occasional fire), and my athletic activities...to start. Sort of a "Glam Girl-Sporty Spice", if you have to label it! (50/50 split but even that fluctuates with the market) So, I don't mind getting my hands dirty, will drive a stick shift in a foreign country (like a race car driver) and love a good challenge, but spiders scare me and it would take more than the SF hills to ditch my heels. Unless, I'm on my bike, at the beach, on the soccer field or chasing fresh pow in the mountains! Absolutely a chameleon... which means that I turn colors to adapt to the environment (change outfits like a superhero) or just truly enjoy the variety of life from one extreme to the next. Can you relate? Hopefully not the "wearing heels" part, but being a fellow chameleon that has many colors.
Why Match? It's on my bucket list;-) and ... I love a good story! AND a good romantic comedy! (Is that an oxymoron?)

I recently finished ~4 years of post-bacc work to become a Registered Dietitian. I sacrificed a lot to go back to school and am happy to say that I love my work. As much as I enjoy my work, I do value the ever elusive "work-life balance". I am a surfer and, in fact, discovering surfing is what changed my life, led me to quit my sales job, travel, go back to school, etc., etc.
Besides work and surfing, I love to cook, bake really small and cute confections, explore the city, ogle other peoples' dogs, run, do yoga, play Scrabble and eat good food while drinking great wine with even better company.
I'm fairly non-materialistic; not for any moral reasons, really, but I just don't too care much about things. Spending a day shopping sounds just as bad to me as it does to you. And please don't buy me jewelry. That being said, I do like to dress like a lady and look nice and I like my home to be warm, comfortable and inviting.
In general, I'm looking for an active person who loves the outdoors but also appreciates the occasional rainy Sunday spent inside drinking coffee, reading and talking for hours on end. I'm always looking to expand my horizons so would appreciate someone who will expose me to great new things, and vice versa.

. These things are tricky as I have learned that connection happens when you don't even expect it, but here is my best shot. I love what I do (teach and trainer/consultant in early childhood education) and my work keeps me busy but I still find time to relax and enjoy mini trips, dancing, good food, walks, and exploring the city. . I'm originally from the Bay Area and always wanted to live in San Francisco. After a few years down in Santa Barbara, London and San Diego, I finally moved to the city a few years ago. There's so much to do here, I feel like I'm always coming across something new and different. Foggy summers are a bit of a drag, but that usually just inspires me to get away to someplace warmer for a little sunshine. I've been lucky to take a few big trips in the last few years: Croatia, Ireland, Costa Rica and Belize. It's such a big planet, there are still so many places I want to check out.
I like getting outside and exploring, either in the city or beyond, people who are active and talkative. It's generally more fun going out and trying new things when you have someone else along for the ride. I like getting out to hear live music, museums, movies and the beach. Traveling is great too, I'm lucky to have family scattered all over the world, so there's always some cousin to visit and new corner of the world to see. Writing about myself is not easy, I think the best way to get to know someone is just to spend a little time and hang out, it'd be nice to meet someone who feels likewise. Work gets pretty busy, so while Internet dating isn't the most spontaneous, I'm hoping it will lead to good things.
