I like confidence in a man. I think there is a line between confidence and conceit. Narcissism is ugly. A deep thinking intellectual is as important to me as laughter. You ever had those "road trip" conversations? I need those. Communication is a pretty big deal; I don't ever want to wonder where I stand with my man.
Right off the bat, I used to be a huge partier and now I've learned to have fun without drinking and I plan to stay that way. So if you drink more than sometimes and you can't "take it or leave it," I am so not your girl.
My friends say I'm optimistic and positive, (some say) funny, kind, goofy and loving. I tell long stories and say akward things at times and it drives them crazy. It's a good laugh. I can laugh at my idiosyncratic characteristics.
I say I'm curious, analytical, loving, creative, calm and easygoing. I can be kind of a nerd when it comes to being organized. I have a lot of love to give. I'm loyal, supportive, genuine... I'm low maintenance, but I love an excuse to get dolled up. I'm a trusting woman, so don't lie to me. I'm strong. I daydream a lot, like J.D. on the show scrubs. If you say you are going to be at my place at 7 to take me to dinner, I will be ready at 7. If I say I don't care where we go - I really don't care. When you ask me a direct question, be ready for an brutally honest answer. I like the arts!!!! I find the view of any city line at night mesmerizing. I can get lost for a long time staring at the ocean or even a little creek.
I'd like a partner in life, not someone I have to save, not someone who wants to fix me but definitely someone who understands equal. I think of relationships not as 2 people becoming 1 but 2 individuals choosing to be together.

I can hold my own in any intellectual conversation, but don't find it necessary to always discuss religion, politics, or global warming at every social function. PS...There are two things that I am not interested in doing on a first date:
1. Getting coffee. I'm 30 not 18. Drinking coffee at 8pm will keep me up until 4am and I have to work in the morning. I also drink things quickly when nervous. Drinking hot coffee quickly paired with nerves will cause me to sweat...and well...there is nothing pretty about that!
2. Working out. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy working out. Just not on a first date! If things work out between us there will be plenty of times for you to see me as the buffalo breathing tomato face I become when I run!
