Meet people from United States. I was born and raised around Seattle and moved to Long Beach, CA about a year ago. Its my second move to Southern California; I was here for college about 10 years ago. There are few things that beat the beauty of the northwest. One of them is the sun! There wasn't much hesitation when my company asked me to relocate. I kind of fell into my job after college. It definitely wasn't my passion; at the time I had planned on law school. When I graduated I wanted some time off and landed a job at an insurance company. Now that' I've been there a while, i'm ready to head back to school and have started studying for graduate school entrance exams.
I'm pretty independent and work hard to be where I'm at, but when the work whistle blows though, i cut ties to the office. The computer and blackberry rarely come home with me. After work most nights I just go to the gym and cook some easy food, laying pretty low. One of my favorite activities is happy hour. I love a good brew, but the camaraderie and sitting out on a patio in the sun are key.
Most of my time is spent biking* around in search of the next best restaurants, breweries, beaches, parks, venues, bike paths, food fests. It goes on. I enjoy taking cooking classes and honing the kitchen skills; my retirement plan is to open a restaurant/cafe/'brewery. You should like gourmet food and craft beer, please.
I have a new policy. One (or more) overseas vacation per year. January 2012 took me to Costa Rica. Absolutely gorgeous country. and I like monkeys. Next on the list: Vietnam, Japan or Thailand. Then World Cup 2014 in Brazil! CANNOT WAIT! If time travel existed, I would be there by now.
