I build guitars and other stringed instruments, I was a luthier for a high-end guitar company that catered to bluegrass players. I still build on my own. I've lived in Ohio, Wisconsin, Indiana, Tennessee (most of my life there), Minnesota and Kansas. I've traveled overseas and visited many countries, spending significant time living and working in South Korea as well as playing music in Stockholm, Sweden. I really enjoy northern climates for the winter snows and the lush green landscapes of the more temperate season, although I do like the laid-back lifestyle of the South.

My vacation plans include booking airfare and an automobile, when needed, and nothing more. I figure out where I'll stay once I arrive, and then I find restaurants and entertainment that suit me. I carry no itinerary, but I have a lot of fun. If you ever vacation with me, you will too. But if you pull a schedule from your purse, I'm going to pretend to look at it and then slip it into a trash receptacle when you're not looking. I’m teeming with confidence and I enjoy an unfamiliar life. I don't need to know every detail on the road ahead.
Also, the woman I'd like to meet doesn't have everything figured out in life. You know why? Because I don't have it all figured out in life. It wouldn't be any kind of life if it was all scheduled and moving according to plan. She has to have a sense of adventure. She's welcome to be close to her family, but she cannot be SO close that I spend all of my free time visiting with her parents and being lectured on how to properly apply wood-stain in her father's garage. Wait...that sounds bad. I guess what I'm trying to get out there is that I'm an adult man seeking an adult woman--but she definitely knows how to be girlish and coy.
I'm an honest person - laid back and kind. I am not cynical or bitter, and I enjoy the company of like people. Also, I have soft spots. My eyes gloss over with moisture whenever my nieces are mentioned. Why am I telling you this? Not even I know.
I love folding warm laundry. I'm immune to superstition - both religious and astrological. Because I'm often asked, I'll tell you that I'm Aquarius. This means nothing to me, for I'm a materialist. I believe in the natural world, and I don't believe the heavens revolve with me in mind or on my behalf, and this life has meaning because we only get one. I am a charitable humanist because "Atheist", while describing me, doesn't describe me well enough.
My match can be emotional. I have emotions, too. She can be rational. I am rational. I'm both emotional and rational! Go figure! I believe that is because I was born left handed and my parents forced me to use my right hand as a toddler. Yes...my brain is somewhat short-circuited, but I manage just fine.

I now have everything checked off but a woman, so here I am. I am a Pretty simple guy. I rarely watch television, or go out to the bar. I spend most of my free time on the water kayaking, or working on my boats ( I build my own).
