I travel a lot for work and my career has kept me pretty busy. Meeting new people in the area has had it's challenges in the past, but more logistics than anything. I'd much rather play sports than watch them. Having someone to go running with or hiking with during the summer months and DEFINITELY someone to go skiing/boarding with in the winter would be great. I am an active person, so if you're not able to keep up, it probably won't work out very well.

From my first visit, I quickly decided that I would be settling in this incredible state to be close to mountains, rivers and diverse wildlife. I've lived on the western slope for about 7 years now.
I work as a firefighter and paramedic for a local fire department. I also do some part-time shifts in the Emergency Room of a local hospital as an ER Tech. I feel fortunate to assist people when they are involved in an emergency situation. I also do a lot of teaching in my career; I am always eager to teach CPR classes to the public or review EKGs with student nurses or paramedics. I'm fortunate to love my career.
I have a relatively small family and, although most of them live in New England, we are extremely close. My parents taught me strong morals and values and that is how I continue to live my life. I try to spend as much time outside as I can. I find that sunshine, fresh air and the wonder of the wilderness are extremely rejuvenating. I do not attend church; however, I discover clarity and peace in the environment. My passion is hiking, although I also mountain bike and snowshoe often. The Grand Mesa and the Rapid Creek Road area in eastern Palisade are two of my favorite areas to explore. Recently I have also spent time in the Glenwood Springs and Carbondale area. This summer I am planning to learn kayaking!
