I had a career as a professional chef at a hotel before I went back to school for my degree in Information Systems and Quantitative Analysis. I have been working in IT for almost 14 years now. ...I love music !!! I have been playing guitar for - oh my god - over 30 years! Can that be right? Jeez, where does all the time go? I remember sitting in school and begging for the clock to hurry up, now I cannot drag my feet hard or long enough to slow the time down. Time is short for all of us, so we don't get all four of us in a room every time. Still, music presents us with a virtual dimension, it's not just where you are, but what was playing at the time. All my other friends have been the best in supporting me through the down times and I thank them for that everyday. Then, I hang with them for the GOOD TIMES! Thanks, Sam!
As for what you need to bring to the table: Be honest, I am striving to be that to everyone in my life. Sometimes to a fault. I tend to say things that are a bit too frank, if you know what I mean. Be kind. I cannot stress that enough. Looks are what initially bring us to being attracted to each other, but looks often take too high a priority in this society. Not nearly enough emphasis is placed on simple acts, like smiling at the cashier who's obviously having a bad day, or trying to be nice, even if your day is in the crapper.
Other than those two things, I don't really require a whole lot. Just laugh at my jokes, if they are funny, flip me off, or top me with a better one. And, of course, there's always the F-word, anytime you can work it into a sentence, you're welcome to...
