After high school, I joined the Air Force (not exactly by choice) -- not at all the military type.. my time in the service was necessary to shape my wise-arse up & and the GI bill helped pay for college. not to mention it comes in handy if i end up in a political discussion, because most are surprised my granola/tree-hugger-self is also a Vet. Some stuff that i am happy about or you may consider amusing? took a trip to China with 33 New Jersey Jewish seniors (old folk) for 2 weeks. Most of the grandmas were trying to set me up with their granddaughters. quite amusing. truth is, the old folks were rock stars. i was the one having a hard time keeping up and i was the only one less than 60 :) really dig traveling -- will do it solo or with someone -- either way, it has to be a priority. I spent more than 2 years working for the Boulder Humane Society. Speaking of animals, you should most definitely be a big fan. Other attributes which would be nice -- you're smart, funny, environmentally friendly, slender, can keep up on a hike.. but still look very cute in a skirt. No girls who can beat me up. Peace.

I would not describe myself as a big outdoorsman; however, I do enjoy driving up into the mountains from time to time, and do a little hiking and exploring around the state. I just started skiing again after a 15 year hiatus and enjoyed it. I’m still very much the novice though. I would consider myself as an urbanite mostly. My favorite places are downtown, going out for dinner, or catching a show or seeing the museum. I am always open to new things however.

Beyond the serious stuff I live a healthy and active lifestyle. My basement has a room with all the requisite CO gear such as skis, a board, bikes, climbing gear, yoga mat and camping supplies. Another cliche here in Denver I suppose. On school nights I cook/prepare mostly healthy meals but I am no health nut and do appreciate the finer things in life. As a balance I do have a membership to DAM and the Botanic Gardens. I love travel and need to do more of it and look forward to sharing it with a great partner.
