Growing up in the Green Mountains and summering on Buzzards Bay founded my character, but i have found Colorado to be home. I would not change it. I like to use the word dichotomy, but do not know what it means, which is kind of like a dichotomy. You can give me credit for the majority of useful inventions in history, basically everything related to the peanut was invented by George Washington Carver, but the rest was all me. I am particularly proud of the Ped Egg, Epilady (the prototype was a Slinky attached to a car battery,) and of course, the Snuggie. I once wrestled a bear, but we called it a tie, since I was worried about the bear’s ego.
I was born and raised in Wisconsin, but I was kindly asked to leave when everyone found out I didn’t like hunting or sausage, my love of PBR couldn’t save me. I originally thought general relativity was about your family and Stephen Hawking was an expert in falconry, and it turns out that a thesaurus is not an erudite dinosaur. My son is not named Walker or Texas Ranger, though I think it was a great idea. I once fell off a building, but I got lost and had to ask directions on every floor, so I was unharmed. I really don’t get the appeal of NASCAR, wait a minute, that’s not a joke, I really don’t get that.
Hopefully, you realize that humor is one of the key aspects of my life, the world is a challenging place as it is, so levity is my mechanism for navigating it and retaining my sanity. I have a great son, a good group of friends, and a great career, so I am very fortunate. I might get carried away with my humor at times, at least according to Human Resources, but it is never out of malice. I do have a serious side, especially when it comes to my passion for music and sports, there is no place I’d rather be than at a concert, a used record store, the golf course, or on a tennis court.
I am very driven and worked very hard to get where I am at in life, but I try to not take myself too seriously and am willing to laugh at my own expense. I may be willing to chat with you about physics, theology, and current events when the mood arises, though I am equally pleased to discuss music, art, film, and especially sports. I love international travel and some some recent places I've been include Spain, Morocco and the Dominican Republic. I'm always up for live music whether its a show at Red Rocks or a smaller venue like Little Bear, Bluebird, etc. One of the things I like most about Denver is being able to get away for a weekend to the mountains or stay in town and try out new restaurants or see a show. While I like my job, I'm huge believer in work/life balance so I make sure to take lots of vacation and sneak in 3 day weekends as much as possible.
