I have learned that as I grow older my needs and wants change. I enjoy short periods of solitude for the pursuit of knowledge and further insight into the self and the world. I love to hike in the woods, but it is often hard to find someone to accompany me. I would go by myself and quite enjoy it, but we've all heard/read the horror stories of women hiking alone... After being married for 20 years to a nice man that shared NONE of my interests in outdoor adventures, I have enjoyed going to the lake and riding horses during these last four years since my divorce. Now that we are past the Cub Scout and basketball team stage, my two wonderful teenage sons donРІР‚в„ўt need me as much as they used to. IРІР‚в„ўm ready to do more kayaking, white water rafting, snow skiing and water skiing. I am equally at home browsing the museums in Chicago or roughing it for a week in the wilderness of Colorado (although I have no objections to a nice warm camper with its very own hot shower!). I would enjoy spending time with you, but I am equally happy entertaining myself if you have to work or want to go for a motorcycle ride with your friends.
Although I can hold my own in either a professional environment or a recreational one, IРІР‚в„ўm definitely not high maintenance! If you need help with your work, I am good at problem solving if you ask for my opinion. On the other hand, if you need me to drive the tractor or launch the boat, IРІР‚в„ўm your girl. Seldom cranky, I love to laugh and enjoy stimulating conversations about current events and politics, but I donРІР‚в„ўt have to be the center of attention. Given a choice, I love bacon and steak, but I’m learning to cook vegetarian at least once per week. I maintain my excellent health by trying to go for daily morning walks with my dogs while I listen to the Motley Fool, Suze Orman or Dave Ramsey podcasts. Ideally, you share with me the motto, “all things in moderation” and hopefully you can adapt to healthy food one day followed by pizza and beer the next.
My life is very satisfying and filled with community, church, and family oriented activities. There is never enough time in the day! I hate drama and am definately not a drama queen. I like my life simple and easy. Life is too short to be miserable or worried about what may happen tomorrow. I say live responsibly and "plan" for the future but don't fret over it.
Regardless of what may happen in life.. you must always live so that at the end of the day, when you look at that person in the mirror and they stare back at you.. you have no regrets.. Live like there is no tomorrow.
. I am a kid at heart, I play a mean game of putt-putt, love to camp, go on drives on Sunday afternoons, or watch football or a good ole movie on television. I enjoy working in the yard, going to yard sales, listening to live music or music on the radio, play cards or board games (hard to do by yourself), cook and make my house a home. I can bait my own hook, sleep in a tent and am the best "rock" spotter you'll ever have on a canoe trip. I am not perfect by no means.. don't even want to try...but what I do know is that I am blessed.
