About me... I am a Native Tucsonan who lives in the beautiful Rincon Valley with my dog Brandi. I am very passionate about the fragile southwestern ecosystem and try to do my best to be a thoughtful steward here in the desert.
I have been in education for the past 15 years working as an teacher in Tucson. My focus initially, was history and political science later followed by educational technology. Now I currently work in the industrial arts as a welding instructor which really has allowed me to express my artistic and technical skills.
I am at a point in my life where I want to live and take chances but do it both responsibly and thoughtfully. While I am very open minded I still value commitment and social responsibility as well as a strong work ethic.
I take care of myself spiritually, mentally, and physically and seek growth instead of perfection. I wouldn’t classify myself as religious but more spiritual, I glean all the “good stuff” from mostly eastern and Native American philosophies as well as western beliefs. Mentally, I try to reduce stress and negativity in my life which of course is not always easy. Physically, I exercise daily and try to eat a somewhat healthy diet.
I love comedy and consider myself somewhat of a humorist…….probably another way I stay mentally healthy. For example, I work with teenagers all day which keeps me young but it also tries my patience like no ones business. I get questions like “What would happen if I put my hand under this flaming torch?” How do you respond to that? Well you see the torch is very hot and ….. Are you flipping kidding me?

So, this is where I'm supposed to try and convince you that I'm the most interesting guy in the world. A friend of mine recently told me that dreams are always better than the reality. I'll put some of my reality down, and if that isn't good enough, then I wish you luck in chasing your dreams.
