I'm looking for someone to share experiences with, especially yoga and exploring the outdoors. Be positive, live for the now and see where it goes.
I prefer to spend my money on doing things and learning more rather than collecting material things. Less is more when it comes to material items. I'm trying to get rid of everything that I don't really need. I'm happier with less. Besides, the more you have, the more space you need to put it and that's not sustainable with billions of people on the planet. I'm a down-to-earth, organic cotton jeans kinda-guy.
I've hiked in the following National Parks: Rocky Mtn, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, Grand Teton, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Bryce, Zion, Glacier, Olympic, Arches, Canyonlands. I've hiked, biked and skied in Canada. I backpacked into the Wind River Wilderness to make an attempt on Gannett Peak (can you tell I love being out West and in the mountains?). I've summited Rainier, Baker, Long's Peak, Hallett's Peak and Humphreys Peak. I hiked to Camp Muir with the oldest woman to ever summit Rainier (Bronka rules!). I had my woofer certification.
I feel like I belong in Oregon, Washington or Colorado. Maybe become a snowbird and spend winter in AZ, but not wait until I'm retired. It would be awesome to get a place and make it sustainable (solar panels, wind generator, organic garden, etc).
I'm interested in sustainability. Buy local. Buy organic. I love Portland, OR and it's focus on sustainability. Their public transit system is great. You could almost live without a car with the bike paths, buses and rail (the Max). The farmer's markets are excellent. And the number of, and quality of, their microbreweries is outstanding. You don't have to be a beer lover, but it wouldn't hurt.
