To be simple and honest about the whole thing, I would have to describe me as just that…….simple and honest. I know there has to be a starting place for us all so here are just a few details about Tommy. I’m a young 48 year old individual who goes to work each day to earn my keep in life and to support me and my one and only child. I’m not rich and I don’t own a million dollar mansion. I own a 7 year old 3 bedroom garden home in a very nice neighborhood and I have some wonderful neighbors. After 10 years of marriage I have been divorced since 2000. My ex and I live only 4 miles apart and we both share equal time with our daughter.
I have been a project manager for a commercial millworks company since 2008. Before that I managed my Uncle’s auto parts store in downtown Tuscaloosa for 26 years before the economy finally took its toll.
For fun it, doesn’t get any better than hanging out with friends, cooking out, sharing laughs, visiting with family or, my favorite, GOING TO THE BEACH!! Just wish I could do that last one more. I’m also a project person working around the house or doing projects with friends. I’m always looking around my house for the next big “Home Improvement” project (not that my house is in disrepair mind you).
I have been a musician and entertainer since I was 12 years old. I started playing in bands when I was in high school. I learned to play the piano by ear sitting in front of my mother’s old upright banging away at whatever came to mind. It started out as a bunch of noise but eventually it actually started sounding like music. Over the years I have played with some very good bands and some not so good bands. Currently, I am the lead singer and keyboard player for a band based out of Birmingham called MP4. We have been together for about 2 ? years and play about 3 or 4 times a month. This is by far the best sounding, most fun band I have ever been a part of. We Vdon’t believe having fun means sex, drugs and rock-n-roll. We are all responsible adults who love to play music and entertain people, but when the night is over we go home to our families.
I love God. That’s not to say I am an over the top, have to go to church every time the doors are open kind of Christian either. I have my faults and weaknesses. I attend Valley View Baptist here in Tuscaloosa and I volunteer on the tech team with lights and sound. From time to time I sing specials, which to me is very cool. Nothing better than singing passionately from the heart about something I believe in.
I am looking for a partner in life, whether I find her here or some other means. I’m not in a hurry either. I do believe in physical attraction as well as mental attraction. I don’t respond to people with no photos. I would hope that whatever relationship you have had would be over and you have moved on. I do not want to get involved with someone who is still married or separated or that has a boyfriend. No offense but I think you need time to emotionally separate and give yourself enough time to allow your heart to move on. I am a one woman one man kind of guy.

I've had several "lifetimes" thus far, including stockbroker, flight attendant and, of course, Ph.D. student (forever, it seemed!) as I prepared for my current position at The University of Alabama.
