Date someone special from United States. Let me think where to start. How about an update since I have lived in Huntsville over 2 years after living in Colorado Springs for almost 15 years. The first couple of years here have been quite interesting and I have met some amazing people. Now that I am 50 I am looking forward to moving on with my live. I really like the house I bought in Hampton Cove and it is only a 20 minute drive to my office on Redstone.
Both of my children are grown, my daughter is 22 and my son 21 and they both decided to stay in Colorado Springs when I moved down here. It was hard to leave them since they had lived with me since before the divorce but they need to grow up and try and make it on their own so this is what is best for them. Just makes for a very empty house.. I like to think I am an athletic person that tries to work out to keep in shape but these last few years have been extremely busy and I have slipped on the exercise.
I do travel quite a bit, not every other week but it does come in spurts, I can be here for a couple of months between trips or if there is a new project I can travel a couple of times in the same month. My job has given me some amazing opportunities to go to some very cool places. Europe, Boston, California, Hawaii, Kwajalein to just name a few.
I am looking for a woman that is in the same place or chapter of life as me. Somebody who is happy with who they are and where life has brought them. I would say no drama but that is impossible to ask for, in this day and age everybody has some, I just ask that it be well managed. We all have Ex spouses and most have children and I don't care what anybody says, with those two things, people have some level of interaction.
I want a woman to share things with, I am tired of doing things on my own. I am looking for a woman that can get away for a long weekend on very short notice or go with me on a trip every now and again. I buy tickets to almost every live event between Nashville and Birmingham and I always buy two tickets. I guess I am looking for a Plus 1 ( 1).
But after saying that I also really enjoy just hanging out and watching TV or movies, it is a great way to unwind and let the week fall away. It is also the perfect way to get to know each other. It will take some time to learn about each other and if we are lucky we will never stop learning. It takes effort and desire to make a relationship work. At our age we are kind of stuck in our ways so there also has to be a lot of working together to find middle ground.
I am very excited about dating in Huntsville! After checking out many profiles I am very encouraged by the amount of people in the same situation I find myself in. I am attracted to a wide range of women, from athletic to thin to a woman that has a few extra pounds. I have learned over the years that yes, visual attraction is very important but so is what is inside!
