I also work as an alternative sentencing specialist in my private practice. Being in the helping profession is very important to me and I love what I do for a living. Going new places and trying new things is always part of my adventurous nature. I was a solo skydiver for a year but now only enjoy a tandem jump from time to time....however, that doesn't mean that I require a date that is willing to jump from a perfectly good airplane. I would like to meet someone that has an adventurous nature but can also deal with a quiet weekend at home. I love music and enjoy a good concert, as well as the theater. One of my favorite things is to have a glass of wine and cook together instead of always going out. I also enjoy watching movies or shows that spark a good conversation. Strong character, open minded yet opinionated, professional, twisted sense of humor, but compassionate and not overbearing are qualities I appreciate.
I think that it takes time to build a solid foundation of trust and emotional intimacy but I also believe that chemistry is instantly recognizable. In my experience if chemistry isn't there on the first date, it isn't going to grow and trying to pursue anything other than friendship is a waste of time. I also believe that trying to rush the relationship is a mistake. Lastly, if you can't laugh at yourself a little, I'm not the right person for you....if you can dish it but can't take it, I'm not the right person for you but if you love life, love to laugh, love a good philosophical debate from time to time, love adventure and the outdoors, then lets chat.

I am very involved with my family -- I love spending quality time with my kids. I have 3 kids - 2 live @ home, a daughter-19, and a son- soon to be the big 15 ( will start driving) YEAH!!! I have one son who is 23 and married to a sweet young lady. Hopefully, one day I will have a grandchild or maybe even a couple-- That would be Awesome!!! I am very proud of all 3 of my kids and daughter-in-law. They are all active in church ( youth) group, and in Praise and Worship Ministry. . I am an LPN I work about 55 hrs a wk . I am vey independent but would really love to find that special person to share my life with . I really believe God doesnt intend for us to be alone.
Looks are really not that important to me, but being able to make me laugh is very important . I would love to find someone to cuddle with , watch movies with and take weekend trips together. I want to find someone who cant get enough of me :)
. I'm not pigeon holed into any one type of man. I find that I have more in common with guys who are younger than me. That might be because I've been told more than once I forgot to grow up. I enjoy a good sense of humor and a bit of an adventurous side. Life has too much to offer to get bogged down by the little things. I am self sufficient and responsible with all things that are important. I like to share my laughter and do it at any opportunity.
My family and friends are my world & music is my oxygen. I have a large group of friends who range from 22 to 52 in age. They are scattered across the globe & I rarely pass up the chance to spend time with them. Though most of my travels are in country, I have been known to jump across the pond when responsibility allows. I have a wonderful job that I take very seriously which lets me do the things I do and takes me the places I go. I like things organized but chances are, I always need to do laundry or mop my kitchen floor. Having fun and laughing with someone you enjoy spending time with always makes a better memory than sorting colors from darks and Mr Clean is always available.
Food isn't very important to me. I consider it fuel and while I come from a combination of an Italian & southern family full of great cooks, I'm not very adventurous in the kitchen.
Music has always been the passion of my life yet I have zero musical ability. I'm always game when it comes to music. I enjoy most genres except for polkas & opera. My parents used to wake me up every Saturday morning of my teenage years by blaring opera through our home. I now associate it with sleep deprivation. I don't think I need to defend my dislike for polkas. You might need to know, I have a slightly sarcastic sense of humor.
I think I've touched on most of the major life areas. Oh, all of my pictures are less than 2 years old and as current as last weekend (March 27, 2011). While I'm not looking for a serious relationship, I'm not closing the door to one. I think it would take a pretty incredible man to want to be in my world. Not that it's a hard place to be, it's just that I'm fairly set in my ways and having too much fun to change. I dunno, maybe there's someone out there who could change my mind.
