I am currently training to run a relay run from Memphis to Mobile for St. Jude. Yep, we will start at St. Jude Children's hospital and run to Mobile. I think over the three days I will log about 40-50 miles. I am really excited to do this for St. Jude since a special little boy in my life is only here because of this hospital. Doing whatever I can to fight all types of cancer is very important to me. I lost my daddy to pancreatic cancer three years ago.
I started my own photography company a little over a year ago and have been working hard to get it off the ground while working in my "real" job in medical sales. I have done this for over 16 years. It's funny how the things we saw ourselves doing when we were fresh out of school and the things we find ourselves doing sometimes don't line up. However, through my career I have been able to meet and help so many people I wouldn't have otherwise. My short term plan is working toward a transition from what I have been doing to using all this creative energy and get closer to retirement.
To give you a little glimpse into my relationship history... Years ago my boyfriend passed away at a young age of a heart attack. This was so unexpected and changed the course of my life. Things happen for a reason. Good and bad. They all put you to where you are in this moment right now. Everyone has things that happen to them. The ones that are functional in life are the ones that decide to take what has happened and move forward. Otherwise each thing that goes wrong causes you to drown deeper in a sea of disappointment. As that happens there comes a point where even a million life preservers can't keep you afloat! As for my marriage... He have been divorced for a year and a half but we separated about two years before it was final. We were together over ten years and I have only had one serious relationship since that lasted for a year. So, at this point, like I said in the beginning, I haven't got a clue as to why I am here but I am ready to figure it out.
