I love to travel, I spent most of my childhood overseas (military brat) and while there was instilled with a love for traveling. My spare time is usually spent with my family or working on my house. I own a 55 year old bungalow in Five Points that is an ongoing project. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and I enjoy the satisfaction of home renovation, but I'm not sure I will be so ambitious with my next house. :-)
I have three cool nephews and a sweet niece who I adore! It's not unusual to find me playing "choo choos" (as my 2-year-old twin nephews call trains), battling in a game of Lego Star Wars (when my oldest nephew doesn't get frustrated with my gaming abilities or lack thereof), or painting my niece's nails. They have a wonderful way of helping me see things from a different perspective, so I try to spend as much time with them as possible. Although I haven't been blessed with children of my own, if you have kids, I consider that a plus!
My faith is important to me and I pray daily for God's guidance in my life. I grew up in a small Baptist church, but don't currently attend on a regular basis. I am actively seeking a church home, so maybe that's something we can explore together.
My friends might describe me as generous, intelligent, caring, and independent. I am most at home while spending time with family and friends, playing in the park with my niece and nephews, and gathering for a backyard barbecue.
