Date people from United States. There is still much to see and do and I'm curious about where (and how) my path will lead. Everyone I've met here has an interesting story. What about you? Are you curious? I have three states left on my list, all of Europe, and many tropical islands. There are things to learn - and I wonder what you can teach me. I like people who have been paying attention, have learned from mistakes (we all have made them), are aware of themselves and their biases, are forgiving and compassionate, and are open to and curious about new opportunities. And who laughs and sees the humor in life. Who wouldn't?
About me:
I have blue eyes behind the sunglasses in the pictures. I have most of my hair (kind of curly) and almost all of my teeth (lost two wisdom teeth years ago but I don't think it hurt my IQ all that much). I'm kind of average - not tall, not fat, not skinny; have all my fingers and toes...in fact, it's not unusual for someone to mistake me for someone they know (or someone they've seen on TV - quite a few of those I just don't get!). I am honest and earnest. I work - I have all my adult life and will probably (hopefully) be doing something for gain or passion on the day I drop.
I'm not particularly vain but I appreciate beauty: light and shadow; mountains and water; sunrise, sunset and moonglow on the water. I like style and intelligence without affectation. I like one on one conversation, wit and humor.
My family is important to me. I have a new grandson and I want to be a big part of his life. My children are all grown but they still need a father from time to time and I intend to be there for them. Two of my children (I have three) are overseas teaching English as a second language. I'm very proud of the way they have turned out and would like to think they learned some of it from me.
If you don't post a photo then that leaves a lot unanswered. I'm not photogenic and don't really like any of these pictures of me but I posted them so that you have a reference. Please post a photo if you want a reply from me. Not too excited by "winks" - a short email doesn't cost much more. One of my favorites simply said, "Hello".

I'm from the South (grew up there, was educated there, and raised a family there) but I've traveled to almost every state over the past 30 years. I've seen a lot and have found something enjoyable in alsmost every part of the country. I have been working projects in southwestern New York these past few years (love the summers!) and plan to do so for a while longer unless something more interesting and/or lucrative comes my way. Or I may decide to go ahead and move to Costa Rica.
I want to live for in the present and if I do that well, tomorrow will be fine. I don't have any preconceptions about what the future will bring as my experience is that they don't account for much. But like they say: the lottery may be a long shot but you can't win without a ticket!
So let's have some fun today and see where it goes. Life has few built-in features, I've found. Assumptions are made to be proven wrong. So let's be friends from the first (and foremost) and see where it leads...

Ladies, I do not mean to offend anyone, but to save us both time I must state, I'm an extremely active person, if you are a couch potato, physically unable to be highly active or that just doesn't appeal to you then we would not be a match at all. Now of course that doesn't mean I wouldn't care to cuddle on the couch or sit and watch a movie, a campfire, or stars or the moon or just gaze into your eyes!
I have a simple philosophy about living life "Live it" don't watch it live it, don't stand around with your hands in your pockets jump in the middle of it grab it by both hands and ride it for all it's worth enjoying every exhilirating minute of the ride. I have been blessed to have seen the head waters of the Nile, the plains and jungles of Africa, the Himilayan mountains and above all shared the gospel of Jesus Christ with people and villages that have never heard His name. After all He came to give us life and "Life more ABUNDANT", let's live what He gave us!!

I'm at a great place in my life, no hang ups or drama. I am a retired U. S. Marine and have the time to do what I want. I love to travel and I've been to many countries. I spent several years as a missionary mostly in third world countries. I love the Lord, but I am not into religion I believe it's about relationship. I'm looking for the woman God has set aside for me, she is a Godly woman who wants to pray, and worship together, to grow together spiritually as well as in every other way.
I've been an athlete all my life and as a Marine always stayed very fit. My ideal woman takes care of herself and cares about the condition of her body.
I love animals, especially dogs and horses. I have owned and ridden horses since I was a small boy. I've raised Quarter Horses. Horses are a big part of my life. I would really like to find someone that enjoys horses and would like to ride, maybe show but at least trailride.
I'm into loving, laughing and living. If it looks fun let's try it, if it is fun then let's do it again! I love to laugh and even more I love to make others laugh! I am a very giving, compassionate and affectionate person. I am difficult to anger and want someone that is also. If I'm wrong I am quick to say I'm sorry and to make amends. I love and get along well with kids and animals.
I am a passionate person by nature. I'm not into casual relationships. I only kiss if I feel something and making love is only with my true love. I am a total romantic. I believe in true love and that we all have a soul mate. This is the love written of in many books, but seldom ever seen in day to day life. The love that unexplainably draws a man and woman together and keeps them together. A love that allows them to feel the very presence of the other. The love that causes them to light up when the other enters the room and causes the heart to flutter when they look deep into each others eyes. This love provides it's own music for their times of intimacy. I believe that two people should walk side by side and hand in hand enjoying each other, best friends and partners that confront life and anything that comes against them head on as ONE. I was raised a Southern gentleman I believe in flowers, candy, opening doors, ladies first, soft speech, integrity, your word is your bond, and chivalry is not dead.
