Meet single man from Cottonwood, United States. I’ve thought about this and decided against boring you with cliches like passionate, energetic, loves pets, etc., in favor of a permanent insomnia cure using the following description:
It turns out that alpha (dominant minority), and beta (submissive majority) personality types also apply to rats. However, a third distinctly different type called “gamma” also exists, but in numbers even fewer than the alphas. A gamma rat has none of the bossy tendencies of an alpha, yet refuses to take orders from them as a beta would. Gammas stake out and defend their own territory, select a choice partner, mind their own business, and generally live life shielded from the more coercive master/servant lifestyle patterns of the alphas and betas. I would say the gamma model describes me pretty well . . I will resist domination by an alpha - very unbeta-like. Yet philosophically, I find it unethical and distasteful to pressure someone about anything they don’t willingly accept - very unalpha-like. Imagine someone who not only allows, but encourages you to be you, and only asks for the same in return?
A person's core values and world view are more important to me than their specific personality type - so I'll leave personality open for whomever looks at my profile and identifies with at least a good part of it. Here goes:
Me: playful, affectionate, quirky, nerdy, even-tempered, introspective, and curious about many things - science, nature, people, places, foods, cultures, music, etc., so almost always have a non-fiction book going. In fact, I just know you are dying to hear all about the text on geology I just finished. (Lucky you!) Very philosophical by nature, I enjoy having someone to bounce ideas off of, and who likes to bounce theirs off of me. I am shy somewhat and rather soft-spoken however, so I generally shun narcissistic and/or loud, boisterous, hyper-extroverted people as well as those who live on the phone. Introspective (very humbling) and a good listener, I am almost always respectful of alternate opinions. I also strongly believe that friendship and trust are absolutely foundational, and these must be established first for a healthy relationship to grow upon, and that trust (like respect and love) has to be EARNED over time for it to be real. There is just no other way.
My fields professionally are engineering and legal, but I enjoy reading economics, history, and political philosophy. Politically, I am a libertarian (think Thomas Jefferson), so great if you see things that way too, but you don't have to (otherwise I wouldn't be a very good libertarian, now would I?). Not obsessed with exercise, I do work out with weights 4-6 days of the week, yet somehow manage to own zero sleeveless shirts. ;-)
You: feminine, playful, affectionate, quirky, playful, nerdy, and cerebral . . and did I mention playful? Proud of your smarts, you see yourself as a thinker and a woman of substance. Not overly materialistic, you try to avoid debt, and even value a paid for and good running VW over a Mercedes bought with a big loan. Your primary “religion” is to seek truth and to go wherever that takes you. You have a strong character and are ethical to a fault and believe others (like me!) should be this way also.
