After 12 years in NYC, she heard a rumor that there were people in Los Angeles, writers even, who played tennis after work--during the winter. “You can take the girl out of California,” she told her pale city friends who consider going to an antique fair a contact sport. “But you can’t take the California out of the girl." She rented a car and, armed with Lucinda Williams, Van Morrison, Joe Ely, and Bruce Springsteen c.d.'s, eventually made it “out west” (as they say “back east”). Here, she loves her life, loves her work, and hopes to find a man…no, no, no! Not to “complete” her. (She thinks that’s the most pathological movie line ever.) She wants to be discovered and appreciated by a kind, curious, intelligent man. The guy is successful, smart and healthy--physically and mentally. He likes to try new things: a country he's never been to or an unusual item on the menu. He appreciates nice things and is also happy with the simple things in life. . Now that I have completed Graduate school, I finally have the time to get out and have some fun. I spent a lot of my time over the past 10 yrs working as as staff nurse, traveling nurse while exploring the country and guess what, I finally landed back here in San Diego. I am originally from the New England area and still have family back there. Although I often visit, I really do not miss the winters.! Can't beat the San Diego weather, I just love it. I enjoy cooking and entertaining, especially for my friends and family. I am comfortable relaxing at home or heading out all dressed up and hitting the town. I have a dog named Boston and we often head out for the day, hit the dog park or dog beach. Hopefully you enjoy animals or have some yourself.
