I believe in karma...
This means quite simply that what you do to others will be returned - good or bad. Because of this, I prefer absolute honesty (even when it's painful) and full disclosure. I think that we each should have the opportunity to decide what we are getting ourselves into. I do not believe in getting involved with someone who has ties to someone else. In other words, legal separations and those with relationship statuses described as "complicated" or "open" do not appeal to me. I am looking to make friends with those that are available and unattached.
I believe God made me the way that I am for a reason.
I love my body and I'm proud of it. I have never had a problem attracting men just as I am. Because of this, I am more of an "au naturale" chic. I wear very little make-up and I don't wear hair extensions. I believe that my body is a temple and I want to live as long as I can. I try to make healthy eating choices and I try to stay physically fit. I prefer a mate that can appreciate this and shares a similar philosophy about his body.
I believe laughter cures most.
I absolutely LOVE to laugh. I laugh at everything - it makes me happy. I laugh uncontrollably sometimes. I like to tell jokes and they arent always funny. I don't care if no one else laughs at them because I will laugh alone. I am also quite playful and am looking for a mate that can appreciate that and won't be bothered by it. I can be a big playful kid sometimes.
I believe men (the real kind) are incredible.
I think that real men are absolutely phenomenal. I like all the things that real men do - like opening doors, telling me that I look good, fixing stuff, and killing bugs.
I am a chameleon.
I have always been in the minority in most settings in my life (work and school). I love meeting new people and NEVER have a problem blending in. I am well rounded and can talk with most people (at least for a few minutes. lol) about nearly anything.

I've spent 4 years working in a clinical neuroscience lab, a year doing clinical autism research, and then I moved into cancer research. I've been in clinical research for 8 1/2 years.
I'm from B'ham (went to school in Homewood), but lived in Colorado for 12 years. I just moved back to be closer to my family and work at UAB. Colorado was awesome and an incredibly beautiful state. I was very fortunate to experience most of it and just enjoy the heck out of it. But Alabama is now my home for good. I have always loved this state.
Regarding the no kids thing. I've had cancer (oh, the irony) and I can't have kids. Don't worry, I'm cancer-free and feeling great! Since this has happened, I feel like I've been given my life back (I guess you can say, I literally have) and I want to live it to the fullest. I don't let anything (or anyone) stop me from doing the fun things I want to do.
I am grateful for my family, my friends, my iPod and fresh fruit.
