I do have a 7 year old boy who is an incredible person and loves to get out there and do things like his dad. I get to have Alex part time, so we make the most out the time we have together. I have a good relationship with my ex and that makes things much easier. I have a passion for sports and arts. I am just as apt to go to a Rockies game as I am to go see a musical (just went in April to Wicked which is one of my favorites!) I like diversification, and as apt to BQ as go out and eat sushi. I enjoy a good red wine as much as a do having a beer. Most days you’ll find me wearing shorts, but I like to dress up as evident in my pictures. What am I looking for? Well you have to be fun and love to laugh (even at yourself.) If you are occasionally sarcastic, that’s a plus. You have to have a positive attitude and believe that your best times are yet to come. Meet someone special from United States. You know life is indeed a journey full of experiences both good and bad. It is up to us to live life to the fullest, although it seems hard from time to time when we get involved with our daily routines. For too long I have placed emphasis on education/career. I know what I want…it is just a matter of getting there and having faith that I can achieve my aspirations. We do indeed live in interesting times both around us and around the world. I do have a lot of things I would like to do. I think it is all about deciding what those things are and going after them. Live your dreams.
With that being said, on that list is finding that special someone to share my life with. Although I am very independent, I feel that I would be more balanced sharing life with someone.
So who am I? I grew up in the Austin area. I did undergraduate and masters work at Texas State University. There I enjoyed canoe racing for a time on the San Marcos and Guadalupe rivers and of course I ran and cycled. I then moved to Albuquerque for graduate work in exercise science. While there, I did a lot of running in the Sandias. There were some killer sunsets there. I fell in love with the backcountry. I knew I wanted to end up in the mountain states. I eventually ended up in Colorado. This is such an incredible state. The mountains seem to have a special energy, or maybe it is just me (especially when you summit Wilkerson pass looking toward the Collegiates). However, this is but one chapter in my life. I am not sure what the next chapter will bring.
Describing myself: I think it is important to have goals that you work toward. If you want something bad enough, you find a way to make it happen. I am not sure if it has to do with visualization, but you can make progressive steps toward achieving what you want. I have a good work ethic. I am respectful of others. I like to exercise. I like to challenge myself, however, I need to put more things on the horizon. If things are important enough, we make the time (i.e. relationship, starting my own business, writing a book, making plans). I would like to get back into music. I would like to learn how to play the guitar and keyboards. I would not mind traveling. I think your perspective would be much different seeing different places and doing different things.
So what am I looking for? I am looking for someone I can get to know and pursue a relationship. It is about sharing your life with someone. I am looking for someone who I can laugh with, share my day with, plan a future, experience what life has to offer, exchange ideas and perspectives, someone who is sincere and with similar interests. However, that is not to say that differences are not welcome. Differences are often that which make relationships more interesting. If you like dogs, that is a plus.
