About me
Every day I wake up thrilled that people pay me to do the thing I love. Writing fits really well with my easygoing attitude and gives me the flexibility to do what I want. So what do I do when I am not working on the next great American work of literature? Well, Scuba diving is one of my greatest thrills it gives me the feeling of working with nature to push myself beyond my limits. I also love just taking off in the truck and going exploring. Unfortunately I tend to navigate by whim, but that leads to all sorts of adventures. I guess my life is kind of like an episode of the Muppet show and I would be gonzo: always on a new quest, pushing my imagination to the limits, and occasionally walking into things.
Who I am looking for
If your favorite Muppet is Miss Piggy, there is a good chance that we just won't get along. Don't take that the wrong way; she just really annoys me. I guess the woman that I am looking for is somewhere between a thrill-seeker and a couch potato. She isn't afraid to dive a remote reef with me, won't get aggravated when I lead us 200 miles in the wrong direction, and will laugh when I say something unintentionally stupid. There was a time when I used to exercise daily. Somehow I fell out of it so it would be great to meet someone who does exercise daily to help me get back into it. At the end of the day, I am just hoping to meet a girl who can discuss the world around her, is looking for more than just a date, and will cuddle on the couch and laugh at old Muppet DVDs with me. My name is John and I am 36. I grew up in Southern California and graduated from Purdue University in 1997. I just moved to Denver in March and am thrilled to be back West. I am currently in Westminster but will be moving to Golden or Morrison in the very near future. I spent almost 10 years in Minneapolis and could not take the cold anymore. I am passionate about many things. Most of all music! I love jam bands. I have been a fan of the Grateful Dead ever since I can remember and love other bands like Widespread Panic, Phish, Govt. Mule and Moe. I love the music, not the drug connotations that go along with that scene. I really like punk rock as well. I am a fairly active little guy. Now that I am in Denver, I plan on hiking and riding my new mountain bike much more. I love to work out and have lost 38 pounds since I moved to CO. I wanted to update this :)
My mom and dad are still married and live in Ventura County. They are the best parents in the world!! I have an older sister who is married and lives in Redondo Beach. She has 2 cute little boys who I adore and try to spoil as much as possible.

. I'm active with my work but also enjoy the outdoors ad connecting with nature. I know there is a nice woman who enjoys the same activities as I...maybe heading to a good hot spring for a overnight stay or just cooking up a meal at home, however it may be I would enjoy the company. I spent about 8 years of my life working on the Roosevelt Hotshot crew, traveled all over the states fighting forest fires and helping people. It was a rough life to live but rewarding, I'll never trade those day's for anything else(check out my pics) but I am happy to be in business with my brother and sleep in a bed at night instead of in the dirt. Thankfully come from a big family and now I have 3 nephews and two nieces....they are fun to be around although I do not get to see them often.
. I grew up in colarado so I love the outdoors. I snowboard in the winter and go camping in the summer. I like to hike, fish and go 4 wheeling. I am looking for a women who loves the mountains as much as I do. She would also enjoy concerts and sporting events. Im a huge Broncos fan so that would also be a plus. I also like to play all types of games, especially texas holdem. I've been single for about a year now and am looking for a women that I can have a fun time with. . I read quite a bit, mostly fiction of one sort or another. Other things I'm interested in are biking, movies, and boardgames. Currently my favorite boardgame would probably be Settlers of Catan, and my favorite author is probably Terry Pratchett.
I'm pretty eclectic, a prime example of that for me would be in the space of a week I saw both Cirque du Soleil's Ka, and rollerderby. I had a good time at both.
I am quite outgoing, on the weekends I am almost never home. I'm having a couple drinks and playing cards with friends, or biking, or maybe seeing a live show. I tend to be the social planner of the group. If I didn't plan an event I'm probably going to be asked to help contact people for it. I don't tend to plan huge events, but having a few friends over for a game of cards, or movies, is a pretty good time.
Generally I'm pretty easy going, it takes quite a lot to get my riled up. I'm quite affectionate, so I also enjoy a quiet night at home, just cuddling and watching a flick.
Hrm . . . my ideal match? The girls I get along best with are outgoing, like playing boardgames or cards, passionate about what they do, and intelligent.
. some one not to seriuos can laugh at you self but on same note can set out to do something and do it some one to be there for me when i need some one to hold and some one to talk to after a hard day of the world beeting you down
