I grew up in Michigan, left there after undergrad and have lived in Wash D.C., Evansville, IN, Denver, Chicago, back to Denver, Dallas and now back in the great state of CO again (third time is the charm I guess). I've been lucky enough to have traveled all throughout North America, the Caribbean and Europe. Wanting to travel and going outside of your comfort zone is paramount for me and would like my partner to be willing to do the same. Education is also important to me and having at least one degree is essential.

I enjoy getting up to the mountains whenever I can. I mean, that's a big part of why I live here, right? In the summertime, I like to get in as much hiking and camping as I can. It can be as ambitious as a backpack trip or a 14er, or a local hike through the foothills. I've recently discovered the joy of road biking beyond the flat lands, which has opened up many new routes and possibilities. The true test will be the Triple Bypass this summer. My mountain bike's a little dusty, but it will just have to wait its turn. In the wintertime, skiing and snowshoeing. Fortunately our front range winters are nice and mild, so they don't exclude most other outdoor activities.
I can spend hours in a museum or art gallery, and music performed live is often the best. I feel it's important to give back to the community, and enjoy volunteering. I actually enjoy cooking, whether for myself or with a group. It's always fun trying to make something new. I'll try anything once.
I like reading books about people and history, and do so for fun. I like books with pictures in them. I like watching shows that make me think. I like my movies to be visually spectacular, and my humor subtle and dry. I like art that makes me think "how did they do that," as much as "why?"
