I'm originally from a southern state you've probably never visited. I carry no real accent as evidence, but still appreciate my roots and have an affinity for all the good qualities (gentlemanliness for example) of my old stomping grounds. That being said, I haven't lived there since high school, so maybe that's so much hot air. I manage a couple different bars. Lots of people seem to be over the bar scene, hence my online existence. While I pattern myself after those I admire and am influenced by, I feel like I'm a true original. I mean I'm sure there are plenty of towering, half geek/half jocks out there, but I don't see them. I'm very easy-going and regular-type-of-guy. I also like sarcasm, and I invite you to share in my idiosyncratic behavior. I play a lot of scrabble/words with friends and really only get hypercompetitive in board games of the like. I hope you like sports, too. I am consumed by watching it and debating it. I even played a little college ball many moons ago. However, I'll enjoy a good Arrested Development rerun more so than a boring game. I enjoy spicy, often weird food, so the restaurants off Federal are often my favorites. I usually wear a beard and hat, so it doesn't exactly set me apart from the rest of the Denver dudes. Writing is a creative outlet for myself, and I think of myself to be an above average raconteur. I've done some cool stuff in my life, and used to work in the media, so I'll have a lot to discuss, but my garrulity (thank you Scrabble) is very give and take. I maintain a pretty positive demeanor, but can be glass half-empty on a lot of things. Podcasts have ruined me for music, so all of the bands you have listed on your profile that you love, I'll have to enjoy you turning me on to them. On that note, I'm not looking for anyone in particular, even though the MY DATE section might have some specifics. Be yourself, be fun, don't be a bummer, and who knows.

. Wow! about me huh? Well I joined match because my demanding work schedule has made relationships and meeting people difficult in the past. I graduated from Adams State College in southern Colorado where I majored in History and played football. I taught middle school history for a number of years, but got burnt out by the pay and parents. Being from a military family, I joined the service and have been in for four years. I'm currently a Sergeant in the Field Artilery, but my career goal is to become an officer in the next two years and serve out the rest of my career to the 20-25 year mark.
I have a couple passions in life that I truly believe in. I'm very passionate about the good will of man, family, and country. I'm forever grateful to be an American and be given the wonderful family I have. I'm kind of a split personality in the sense that at work I have developed a hard exterior needed to do what I do. Away from work I pride myself on being a fun loving country kid that feels just as much at home spending time up in the mountains roughing it with my brothers, as I do sharing a glass of wine with my mom helping her make a nice dinner (though she doesn't believe I can even cut an avocado :)
