Date men and women from United States / Colorado / Lone Tree, 48 year old

Date people from Colorado, United States. I am more convinced than ever before that life is meant for 2! After a 15 year marriage, I may be a little rusty with this dating scenario but I'm not jaded by divorce. The right person is out there for me and I am the right person for someone out there.
A little about myself:
Born and raised in South Africa. I am independent, optimistic, stable in my career and goal orientated. I am a very hard working and dedicated person with a good sense of humor, enjoy laughing and making people laugh. I would put everything on hold if someone I know needed help with anything at all. I've been told that I'm smart, sensitive and very generous. Family and Friends are my priorities.
I have 2 girls ages 13 and 14, that I simply love! My 13 year old is sooo smart that we are able to have intellectual conversations (or does that mean I have the intellect of a 13 year old?). My 14 year old is fun too, but is the complete opposite of the other.
In my free time I Work out, play Golf, play the Drums, Water Ski in the summer and weather permitting ride a Harley. I enjoy eating out (no special occasion necessary), movies, week ends away or going on day trips to local attractions. Lazy night at home - no problem with that either!. I love to cook and entertain and am also not afraid to get dirty doing household chores.
Ideal Vacation: Greek Island with nothing but you and sunscreen.
About us:
We speak our minds, are completely comfortable around each other and encourage each other to be the best we can be. We look past imperfection and do not run from adversity. We bolster each other's egos. Fights are rare and when we do get into it, we don't stop talking until we've reached some sort of peace. Relationships take work but no matter what, it’s knowing that it's all worth while! P.S. Photo's and all info is current!

Meet a man from Colorado, United States. I'm a normal guy looking for a normal gal. Wait! No! God! What am I saying? I'm anything but normal. I'm unique - in fact, I may be the only one like me on the planet. I've done things normal people don't even dream about or even think are possible. I've lived in places most people don't even know exist. I've swam with sharks daily for a year, dodged tanks on the way to work, been shot at, swam at Plutonium Beach, had my grocery store blown up by a missile, journeyed over 220,000 miles, and watched the galaxy plunge into the ocean 3,000 miles from land in any direction. I've bent and hopped "reality" and lived a dream. So, no, I'm not normal. I grew up in central coastal California and I am a windsurfer, scuba diver, and ocean swimmer. I really love water and if the truth be told, I am a fish with legs. I am seeking a good, kind person who really connects with me. I'm not into power, money, or ego and I'd really like to skip those things in my mate too. I'm attracted to a soulful, deep type of woman, who is maybe a bit quiet, possibly an introvert, possibly bookish, softspoken, but also passionate and positive. Historically I've been attracted to Taurus's, all of whom have been of Irish ancestry. Hmmm, maybe it's in the DNA. I like to be close, and I don't like sarcasm. I want a down to earth woman who is balanced and happy, but who wants a deep love. I'm not religious but I have studied quite a few religions, and I lived among the Muslims and Buddhists for almost a decade. I lived in Kuwait for two years and in Thailand for five years, and I consider Thailand a sacred place.I have many friends all over the world but I have very few close friends. I am usually quiet and mild mannered, but I can also have the entire lunch table rolling on the floor with my raucous humor. My paternal line is from northern Europe and my maternal line is from eastern Europe and western Asia. I drink Guinness beer, I love Irish pubs, and I smoke huge cigars now and then. I went to the Air Force Academy to be a fighter pilot but didn't like the BS so I left. I was married for 12 years and I raised two kids, but my ex had an affair 6 years into the marriage and I tried to hang in there for the next 6. So it's tough for me to trust now. So now I follow my heart and my intuition. I like all kinds of music and I love to dance, especially with the person I love. My best times have been going out with a group a friends dancing and laughing and frolicking in the ocean. Relationships are tough to start these days, people are in such a rush. We need to light a candle, sit together in a mellow place, talk closely and....quick! before 2012 gets here! Lol....
