Now I don’t, in fact, drink excessively and according to their advice I should try to sell myself, but I’m not going to lie to you. That’s the funny thing about online dating. If you were to meet me on the street, I wouldn’t have to fess up and I could craft my presentation , but there’s a reason you’re on here and I suspect it’s because the whole on-the-street thing hasn’t worked out too well. So here my best shot at me in a nutshell, no BS.
I’m maybe 9.5/10 intelligent and about same general knowledge level. Perhaps 7 for physical attractiveness which is maybe bumped to 8 in my age bracket. I’m 9 fit - 8 locally, and probably rate equally on capability to participate in activities. I would guess that I’m 8 funny/entertaining to be with. I’d give myself close to a 10 for adventuresome. I’m likely only a 4 for artistic/creative, but I’d guess an 8 for appreciation. I’m capable of perhaps 8 for style, about the same for grooming/hygiene, and maybe 8.5 social poise. 8 for honesty, 7 for acceptance, 9 for sensitivity and the same for awareness. A 7 for patience/temper, although I have some pretty specific hot buttons. Generosity 8? Sexually, I’m maybe an 8 for technique, and 5 for passion and creativity. Mainstream/pop-culture awareness and utility no more than a 3 and my manliness/machismo is probably a 4.
About you, well, I don’t have a clue. I’m 48 and never had a truly successful relationship. My thinking has always been that I wanted someone who could more-or-less hold her own. Now to be fair, I’m pretty good at a lot of things, so I never expected someone to be able to keep up across the board, but I also have my weaknesses, so I hoped to find someone who is stronger in those areas. But this tack has a 30 year track record of failure, so now I'm just trying to be open to options.
It’s funny that I’ve chosen now to try this, though. I don’t think it’s because I’m “that desperate”, but I am going through complete reevaluation and I suppose this is part of it. Why would you want to be a part of that? I honestly don’t know. If you are confident and secure in your position then you might find that I respond to your solidity and finally hit my stride, which I still try to believe will be impressive.
