I love my job...I worked very hard to get where I am, and I love what I do, but it's also very important to me to have a seperation between work-time and play-time.
I'm very close with my family (my sister and brother are my best friends) and I have a bunch of friends that mean the world to me. I love trying new things, I've discovered that nothing good comes without stepping outside of you comfort zone, which leads me to my next bullet point. I recently ran my first marathon, and while I swore shortly after I crossed the finish line that I'd never do it again, I loved the way running for over three hours felt, so who knows. Running has become my release and I'm sure it will always be a favorite activity.
For the most part, I'm the quintessential Colorado guy, I'm laid back, I love flip-flops and sitting on a patio drinking beer in the sun. I love the mountains, hiking, mountain biking, pretty much everything outdoors but I also like checking into a hotel at the end of the day. My ideal match is perfectly happy at a dive bar or a rooftop patio, but also enjoys getting dressed up and hitting the town for a romantic evening. There is plenty more, but I'm not sure I want to reveal everything about myself before we meet...I'd much rather let you find out whatever you need/want to know over a cold beer, but I'm an open book...so fire away.

So, for my general nut shell; basically, I am a roll with the punches kind of guy. And, I'm looking for that same quality in someone else. I have to be relatively serious and professional at work (I am an attorney but we're not all bastards, I promise), so I try not to take life too seriously the rest of the time and I am a bit of smart ass. Although we've all heard this before, I really do love to travel and there's nothing better than exploring the mountains. I managed to bang up both legs chasing my dog around at the beginning of the summer but I'm almost back to 100% and I'm pretty excited about hitting the mountains a few times before the summer ends. I like being out and about with friends on the weekends but sometimes there's nothing better than hanging out at home and watching a movie.
As far as your general nut shell is concerned, I'm looking for an intelligent, funny and witty woman that would feel just as comfortable dancing to cheesy songs played out of a jukebox on a Saturday night as she would playing with my nieces. It's important to me that you have your own friends and that you are somewhat independent. It would be cool if you like to catch a baseball game every once in a while but at the same time you like to get dressed up to head downtown. (Although I must confess I am more of a Highlands kid than a downtown kid). And, if you don't like dogs, it's not going to work out. I'm not going to tell you that you're weird but, who doesn't like dogs?

If you ask my friends to describe me, they would probably say that I am one of the most easy going people ever. I just like to go with the flow and take things as they come. I also love to make people laugh. You probably won't see it right away, but once I get to know you and what you find funny, then it's on! We moved around a lot as a kid, but I'm mainly an Iowa boy. After high school I went to college at Arizona State, stayed in AZ for 10 years, and recently relocated to Denver for a new job.
Travel abroad has helped shape my life, and will continue to be a big part of my future. I have been lucky enough to study abroad in Mexico City and Florence, Italy. It's really amazing how much you can learn about yourself in a place where nothing is familiar. I try to get out of the country at least every other year. I'm more or less a chameleon, able to fit in to just about any social scene. I tend to be pretty laid back, but still have a very good time and I'm definitely not shy.
