I spend my free time reading, listening to music, and working out. I really enjoy spending time with friends and my kids. I love hearing live music, and make my way to venues like the Ogden, the Bluebird and Red Rocks as often as I can.
I enjoy great food and wine, concerts, movies. I'm always on the lookout for a great new restaurant.
I don't spend much time watching sports and don't watch much TV, except maybe a good movie. I love to travel and this year have been to Mexico, Florida, Costa Rica, Bonaire and Venezuela. My friends would describe me (after I paid them off) as humorous, witty, intelligent, outgoing, compassionate, caring, adventurous (but not Death wish adventurous), and reasonably clean. (OK, more than reasonably, but less than obsessively).
I hear that opposites attract but if you're the opposite of all or even most of the traits on the above list, I'm betting money that we won't hit it off.
A few other red flags:
* You plan your evenings around broadcasts of American Idol.
* You follow Paris Hilton or anyone named "Kardashian" on twitter.
* You consider Las Vegas one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of the World"
* You've crossed Paris and Rome off your bucket list because you've already seen them. So have I. I've also had sex before. I hope to revisit all three experiences in the future.
Oh, and you should smile a lot. A be nice to your family and friends.

A Venn diagram of all my social circles intersects in just one point...me. Does that make me unique, or merely strange? You will have to decide for yourself. (Not knowing what a Venn diagram is shouldn't be construed as a deal-breaker. Some of my interests are: Travel, Live Music, Dead Music, Sports (Tennis, Bowling, Theater, Museums, Outdoor activities, Political Activism, Travel (did I mention that), Travel (I really like travel), Dining Out, Dining In (my cooking skills lie in that vast grey area between those of any Adam Sadler character and Gordon Ramsey.
Oh and I play the guitar, and banjo, and sing. So I'd appreciate it if you didn't make that "Deliverance banjo sound thingy" whenever I start to take it out of the case.
But seriously...
If I have a philosophy of life, it may be that I believe in the basic goodness of the human race, and that each of us should do what we can to make the life’s journey of those we encounter a bit more pleasant. That may entail supporting worthwhile charities, helping to build a school in Central America, or simply greeting a stranger on the street with a “Good Morning”. Above all, I believe that all seven billion inhabitants of this planet are equally precious in the eyes of God.

I think this might sum up some basics. It takes some time to know the depth of someone and I hope to find the right person to share and learn with. With that in mind, here goes....
I enjoy many of the simple things like meeting friends for coffee, biking, hiking as well as packing my bags for a trip to who knows where. I believe this life is a gift and I am grateful I am able to enjoy it as I do. I am someone who tries to live in the moment and strives to be consciously aware.
Like most of us, my interests are many and varied. The quick list....Laughter, romance, friends, family, fresh air, travel, beaches, oceans, rivers, deserts, mountains, hiking, biking, stars......I love them all!! I am always open to learning and doing new things. I would like to share and learn my partner's interests as well. So much out there...
So now the question...Who am I looking for.? It would be wonderful to meet an outgoing, fun woman who enjoys similar interests as well as wanting to discover new ones together. While I like working out and keeping healthy, a recent leg injury has slowed me a bit. I learned while I have the desire and passion of a 30 year old, my legs are still 50!
