I completed my first album a little over a year ago, and I'm currenlty working on two more - a collaboration with a wonderful classical guitarist and another solo effort. Other pasions include yoga, primarily Empower and Flow, and outdoors activities - hiking, biking, etc. My international travel has been limited, but I relish the opportunities for new adventures, including a trip to Peru in May. I have memberships to the Museum of Nature and Science and the Botanical Gardens, and I'm joining spring and summer ultimate frisbee leagues.

Meet people from Colorado, United States. This is so funny! I look at all these profiles and I think "man I really understand what she's trying to say and really know what that women's needs are." But truthfully...I am really tired of trying to taking care of everyone elses needs and ignoring mine. I'm tire of women that want to be treated like a princess but don't want to treat somene like a prince. It's a 2 way street! I know I sound bitter and maybe I am, but this has to stop. Chivalry isn't dead...its just been modified for today's women. Women no longer sit at home and take care of the kids and the home and have dinner ready for hubby when he get's home. They are on the front lines fighting the battle with hubby. And because of that hubby needs to understand that he now has a responsibility to help with the laundry and help with the dishes and help with getting the kids ready for bed and help get a meal on the table as well as making a good living. That's the man I am and I am looking for a woman that understands and appreciates the kind of man that I am. Let’s see ....... well the best way to get to know me is to meet me ...... but I am sure you want to know a little about me first so here goes.
I am adventurer, it could be a day skiing with a friend exploring somewhere new, or as simple as meeting somebody new, adventure is all around you. The important part is to have an open mind and be ready to try and experience new ideas – places and people.
I consider myself as a renaissance type of a guy. I believe in chivalry ….. . So yes ….. I will open doors for you, but I am alsosomewhat of an intellectual, I have three university degrees, and I still consider myself to be an athlete all though in that area my wishes far exceed my abilities.
My favorite form of entertainment has to be comedy, few things better than laugh. I enjoy live theater; I am particularly fond of musicals, dramas and of course comedies. Just saw “The Importance of Being Earnest” by Oscar Wild at the Arvada Center …. A very witty play on words with some very funny lines.

I don't work a "normal" work shift. It's not a graveyard shift at least! but it still makes it difficult to meet people. There are pros and cons to this. On the bright side, I have a good part of the morning and afternoon to do whatever I want, and whatever you can join me in. I have time to hike, bike and ski before work. On the con side, it is a bit more difficult to hit happy hour on a Friday. Then again, I'm sort of past the Friday bar scene. I like to think that I make the most of my time off. I like what I do, but my schedule is not ideal. So if you're okay with a wacky schedule, or perhaps have a wacky schedule of your own, drop me a note!
Even though I work late hours, I will easily sacrifice a few hours of sleep in order to get up early and hit a powder day, or a hike, or hike up Lookout Mountain at 7am to watch a bike race that doesn't pass through for 4 more hours. Bonus points if you have a season pass to Loveland (or any ski area)...not required however!

I like to ski, hike/backpack, hike, bike ride (road and mountain). I'm also into photography. Once a full-time profession, now mostly just a hobby -- but I have the never-ending quest for better photos, and the perfect photo. I like to do photo road trips around Colorado...this might involve trips/camping trips to places like Crested Butte for wildflowers, or Telluride and the San Juans for fall colors.
I've lived in Colorado since 2000, and my only regret was not moving here earlier! I grew up in Michigan, but seemed to spend most of my vacation time in Colorado.
Let see...I also enjoy music. Live music, mostly rock/classic rock type stuff, or folky and blues stuff as well. I try to hit at least a couple of concerts at Red Rocks each summer, and am hoping they have a good lineup this year.
Movies? I like to watch movies, whether it's on the couch or at the theater.
I'm not a huge television person and don't even have cable, but I'll rent. I like all types of movies--comedy, drama, even scary movies.
Some of my photos have a dog in them. Unfortunately she is no longer around. She was my best buddy and covered more terrain, saw more sites and visited more places than most people I know that grew up in Colorado. I plan to have a new arrival in my household soon, but am still looking for the right one...and he or she will be from a rescue. If you are a dog person, you will understand!
I feel that I treat everyone with respect, and don't look down on anyone for what they do or for what they may have done in their past. I feel that our past is what makes us what we are today.
I like to get out and about, but haven't traveled to many exotic places. Some people on here say there favorite places are those like Fiji, France, the Bahamas. Although I haven't been to Fiji, France or the Bahamas, my favorite places are right here in Colorado. That's why I'm here!
That said, I would like to see some other countries, such as Ireland, Australia or New Zealand--great photo ops in those places!

I am EXTREMELY active, and enjoy doing anything outdoors, from camping, rafting, hiking, biking, fly fishing(one of my favorites), alpine skiing (go every weekend), cross country skiing, snow shoeing, running and exercise, which I try to do every day, and four wheeling and/or driving topless with my ancient Jeep during the summer. I also enjoy all of the outdoor concerts here and love going to Red Rocks during the summers here, to see Widespread Panic, String Cheese, Allman Brothers, and Further(formerly the Grateful Dead and even The Dead until the music stopped, although it never does in my car or home). With everything there is to do here, I have a difficult time doing nothing-even for a few minutes. Some have told me that I'm high strung and kind of quirky, but I'll take that as a compliment. As far as personality goes, the best way to describe it is that I feel like I'm still a kid, even though I'm well beyond a "kid" age. I love to have fun in all that I do, but am serious when I have to be. I have great friends here and enjoy my life as it is, but would love to share it with a partner. Unfortunately, l lost my father last year (1/1/2011) to pancreatic cancer so that loss definitely changed me and my perspective on many levels, realizing how truly short our time is here and how important it is to enjoy and value the time we have (it is a gift), and is one of the reasons I like to stay active and positive (a trait that my father always instilled in me). My ideal match is someone that is energetic and has similar interests to mine in the sense that they are active and enjoy at least some of the same things I do. Unlike 96.798% of the guys out there, I have 2 cats, so if you're allergic to cats, or worse, hate cats, then there may be better matches on this website for you.
