I love spending time outside whether its hiking a 14er, snowboarding at Keystone, going downtown to the Thai food cart, or tubing on the South Platte. I was born in Fort Worth, Texas but have lived in Colorado since I was 3, and sadly none of my Texan relatives let me call myself a real Texan. I work downtown for an oil and gas company, and genuinely enjoy my job. As far as pastimes I love to play golf and just about any other sport (I'm currently on 2 softball teams), watch my Denver sports teams (Broncos and Rockies primarily) and to take my 2 pups for walks around the park. I prefer a good happy hour over a full bore night out on the town, and day drinking at the park on a Saturday or Sunday is one of my favorite activities.
It's always hard to know exactly what you want in another person, and I try to stay pretty open in what I'm "looking for". A few big things though; I'm looking for someone active, someone intelligent and someone willing to laugh at my jokes and put up with the sarcasm that tends to show up from time to time... Well, I recently moved to the Denver area from Wisconsin after finishing my Master's degree in accounting. So far, I'm loving it but I'm hoping to meet some new people to explore the area. I like to consider myself an extremely active guy and love being outdoors. I enjoy running in 5K's and half-marathons and play basically any sport when I have the time. Being from Wisconsin, I'm obviously a huge Packers/Brewers/Badgers fan. Now that I'm in CO, I still try to catch as many games as possible. I'm sure I'll be converted into a Broncos/Rockies fan soon enough! I also like to consider myself a motivated individual and wants to well in life but I also realize it's the little things in life that matter. My motto has always been "Work hard, play hard". I work hard at my job but not too much that it's controls my entire life.
I also want to travel to as many places as possible so I'm slowly but surely achieving that. I recently traveled to Germany which was an awesome experience! I've also been to New York several times, Boston, Florida, Mexico, and DC. I'd like to travel more internationally in the future. I tend to be a bit sarcastic around my good friends and family. Date a guy from United States. I have been told that I am very easy-going and laid back. I like to think of it as 'slow to anger' or TNT-free (although i do enjoy some of their shows). I tend to see the best in people (except horrible drivers) and strongly believe in 'paying it forward' although I have never seen the movie and heard it was actually terrible. But I think it is important to do what you can for others and try to live my life that way. Family is important to me and is one of the reasons for my recent move westward. I still stay in touch with a core group of friends from college (yearly group trips help with that) but am always open to meeting and making new ones.
