Meet single man from Colorado Springs, United States. I never know what to say in these things, it always sounds silly anyhow. Under the "If you want to be successful on POF" portion of this "how to" thing it says I should talk about my hobbies, goals, what makes me unique and tastes in music.
When it comes to hobbies I really dont have any. I used to be a bit of a slacker that watched TV and played video games all day long but about four years ago I decided that I really hated that life and I have been going full speed ahead on tying to get life sorted. When I had fun my mates and I used to go to this place in Richmond every Thursday called Carey Street Cafe for "Rock Band Karaoke". We would drink all night and sing a lot of Coheed and Cambria, Bad Religion and stuff like that. That was always fun and I loved that, it was almost like a modern day "Cheers". If I had time I would love to go camping, or jump out of a perfectly good airplane again, scuba diving in the Florida Keys was always great and I used to love to rock climb. I loved to get dirty and what have you, you know dumb guy stuff, but I also used to love to go to tap dancing classes with my friend Christina back in Virginia...I never openly admitted it though.
Goal and aspirations are a hard thing to define. At some point soon I will be going to school to be a Paramedic. Its not that there is anything wrong with my current job, its well paid and ill never be unemployed, I just would like to do something that says I made a mark in the world to someone. In a relationship my goals would be akin to having a relationship that looks like my mom and stepdad's or aunt and uncle's. These guys are a wonder to look at, they are teammates, they love each other, take care of the "big kid stuff" and still are goofy with each other. That "me and you against the world with a smile" mentality is something I want, pretty badly ill admit. As to the question of kids, my answer would be never outside of marriage. By the way this is NOT a judgement call on anyone who has kids out of marriage, I am just saying I am NOT going to have kids with a woman I am not married to.
Now it says to describe what makes me unique, and simply put, nothing at all. I don't think that there is a single thing about me that makes me any better then the guy posted above me or beneath me. I'm sure they are awesome guys and will do just fine by you. As I said you would probably have to remind me what "fun" looks like and force me to stop checking bank accounts and what have you. The one thing I will say is that when I get into a thing with a person, I am in it. I dont look around, dont wonder if that grass over there is greener and I dont hedge my bets.
Ok music now. I like so many different things its kind of sickening. On my Ipod I have bing band/swing, rock-a-billy, rap, metal, pop. There is Daft Punk right next to Paul Potts, Dragon Force next to Patsy Kline, Coheed and Cambria next to Frank and Wu Tang next to Jackson Five. Its all over the place and at some point I probably should organize it, but seriously who cant enjoy listening to lyrics like "show me what life is like on jupiter or mars" followed by "wu tang clan aint nothin to $%^& with"? In Richmond I worked at this place called "The Hat Factory", it was concert hall and the only reason I took the job was to see the acts. One night you would have Rusted Roots and the next Garth Brooks and then there would be Rakim. I am no music major or anything like that but I do love music and finding new little unknown, or little known bands like Kitty in a Casket.

I grew up playing a lot of different sports so being active is important to me. I've done a lot of adventure travel (SCUBA diving in Australia, skiing/hiking in New Zealand, hiking in Texas, California, across Canada, etc...) and I'd love to do more in the future.
I owned my own house in Canada which I sold before moving down to Colorado. I'm quite handy and did all of the renovations and repairs around my house although I hired people to clean my house and to take care of my lawn.
