I was born and raised about 20 miles outside Baltimore and spent almost my entire life in the same county. However, my parents insisted on taking us on vacations all over the country so I've been to almost every state which is pretty cool. I graduated from Virginia Military Institute in May 2008 where I studied History and played DI Lacrosse.
Since college I've lived in Washington, Oklahoma and Tennessee, Oklahoma (again, thanks Army) and now Colorado. I really enjoy travelling and visiting new cities, my favorite so far is either Chicago or San Diego, but Vegas has to be up there as well.
I try to be the most well-rounded person that I can. I'm an avid reader, it always seems like there are four or five books that I'm halfway through at any given point in time. When it comes to music, rock definitely is my favorite but I also listen to rap/hip-hop and country as well. When the TV is on, it's usually on sports but I do try to follow some TV shows like How I Met Your Mother and Sons of Anarchy.
I really enjoy working out and playing sports, it's a great way for me to relieve stress from work and I'm very competitive. I want the woman I meet to like playing and/or watching sports and enjoy exercising as much as I do.
A sense of humor is very important to me, and when I say "sense of humor" I mean the ability to contribute to the conversation in a way that makes me laugh. I know it's a cliche but it's hard to find women that are legitimately funny. My sense of humor is a blend of sarcasm and self-deprecation, patent pending. I would say that at least half of what I say is at least shaded with sarcasm, so my ideal woman would definitely share that style of humor.

I'm a simple kind of man. I take my time, and I don't live to fast. i have incredible personal patience. I've been though hard times in my life like everyone has, and I've always been able to patiently proceed though those times. Most notably, 6 years in the Air Force. I knew before my first year that it wasn't something I wanted to do with my life, but I stuck it out for 6 years and I've made myself someone I like by doing so.

I don't enjoy making confrontations with people, but when I see something that I cannot abide, I don't abide it. There are times when if I see something happening that I think is wrong, and no one else is doing something to stop it, I will do or say something to change it. This applies mostly to small scale personal situations, like if I were to see someone mistreating a woman in a public place, being a drunk ass, or (especially) picking on someone that can't defend themselves.

I enjoy doing things I'm not 'supposed' to do. I don't mean illegal things like robbing a bank or doing hard drugs, I just mean I love doing things that aren't socially acceptable. Like swimming in a place I probably shouldn't be swimming, or getting on top of the roof of a building, or making love in an elevator... hmm, perhaps some of that is illegal. I guess a better definition would be that I like to do fun and dangerous things that don't hurt other people.
I think doing stuff like that serves as some of my best memories.
I listen... When someone is talking to me I listen to them. I like to learn about people that I think are interesting and I love to ask them questions in the hopes of learning something else that is interesting.

my biggest turnoff is someone that complains about everything, and a person who gossips about others are the worst.
