I’m an outgoing, funny, and loving 37 yrs old father of two beautiful young girls (7 and 13) which live with me and are the center of my life. I grew up in a large family in Germany and family and faith has always been important to me. First off, I am not looking for a re-placement mother, they have one and we remained friends.
I love outdoors, but enjoy home just as well. My kids would probably describe me as fairly laid back, crazy silly at times, and always willing to try new games as long as there is a challenge. I volunteer when I have the chance at different places, but special Olympics is my favorite charity.
I am pretty much open for anything, except I do not drink coffee, (Childhood memory ;-)). I just finished law school and ready for traveling... I love to cook, hike, fish, boating, scuba-diving,... anything really that has to do with the mountains or water (although I'm not sure why cooking was part of that list). I do ride a motorcycle and love drinking a glass of wine in the evening in the backyard.
My favorite food is Mexican, which I cannot explain, as that was unavailable in Germany when and where I grew up.
My favorite holidays are Halloween and X-mas.

It is easy for me to list things that I like because I’m always interested in trying new things. I believe that there is beauty, excitement and adventure to be found everywhere. I enjoy reading, the theater, the symphony, cooking, hiking, climbing, camping, kayaking, biking, juggling and skiing among many other activities. I am not necessarily good at all of these activities but I do enjoy them. I have many close friends that I always make time for and I also enjoy spending time with my family.
One of the best things about this society is the opportunity to continue learning. The knowledge that is at our fingertips is simply amazing. I have a good career designing and creating medical devices. My job keeps me on my toes and I am always learning from it. I recently finished a Masters degree in Engineering. I am most likely done with formal education but I will never stop learning. You may call me geeky, but I prefer to see it as being interesting. I’m not the geek that sits around in a Star Trek outfit all weekend, but I am the geek that takes the time to listen to a scientific lecture or help a friend research some crazy topic they just thought up.
I spend as much time outside as I can. I am a native of Colorado and I enjoy the state in all of its seasons. My love of the outdoors has driven me to travel. I often go on weekend trips with friends throughout Colorado and Utah and have gone on several mountaineering trips including climbs in Washington, Ecuador and Africa. I recently got back from a trip to Peru where I climbed several peaks in the Cordillera Blanca.
Tying everything together is the desire to improve myself, be a good citizen and a good man. I believe in treating people with respect, volunteering and giving back to the community. I have spent over 20 years as a volunteer mountain rescuer. I believe this is a perfect outlet for me to make a difference in an area I love as well as grow from the experiences it has given to me.
I am in a good place in life and I would like to share my life with somebody special. I want a relationship with somebody who can accept me for who I am and challenge me. I like hiking and the outdoors, but that means getting the dog out on the trails often and car camping occasionally, not a week of backpacking. I grew up in Colorado, but never skied enough to get any good, so I snowboard once a year.
