Date a soulmate from Boulder, United States. After many years of traveling the world and skiing and climbing like mad and living a life of responsibility-free adventure, I now find myself wanting to settle down (somewhat) and start a career. Kind of like a reverse mid-life crisis, which hopefully does not mean that I am about to impulse buy an 08 Dodge Caravan. Now I'm in Boulder and am teaching high school, so I am responsible for helping mold the future leaders of our country. People who know me well should be scared at that prospect, because I am a little.
Luckily, living here in Boulder still allows me to pursue my love of the outdoors. While not as obsessive as I used to be, I still like to climb and ski and also bike and hike. I try to get outside as often as I can, and I would love to be able to share these experiences with someone. Heck, I would love just to able to go to a movie with someone, especially if it's one showing at the Mayan in Denver, which is just too far to drive alone to. Or if it's a cheesy dance movie, to which I must admit a secret weakness (I suppose not so secret anymore).
I used to believe in certain criteria of a "perfect match", until I found myself connecting with people that wouldn't normally fit my pre-conceived idea of a perfect match. I'm just looking for that spark of chemistry that is wholly unpredictable until I actually meet someone. Someone who is fun, adventurous, outgoing, can teach me how to salsa dance, laughs at my jokes, likes my beat-up Subaru, watches The Simpsons, is ridiculously gorgeous, and is outrageously wealthy. (That was a joke. Laugh.)
Really what is key is the feeling that the other person's happiness is important to my own happiness, and vice versa. I think this is the essence of caring, and it would be nice to share this feeling with someone.
Meet someone special from Boulder, United States. I'm an easy going guy who loves being outdoors...eating, riding bikes, walking in the sand, standing on top of a mountain, drinking beer by the pool, hiking by a stream, camping near a lake, driving a boat...enjoying life outside.

I don't really watch TV, but I do love movies.
I don't like coffee, so I'm addicted to hot chocolate instead.
Adrenaline is my drug of choice. I own more helmets than hats.
I love the feeling of flying silently through the air whether on my skis, snowboard, wakeboard or mountain bike. That being said, I'm afraid of falling...so skydiving and bungee jumping are out.
Dessert is a favorite of mine along with peanut butter, steak, turkey sandwiches and mexican food.
I love photography, and try to take pictures every chance I get.
I don't even bother to turn the oven on when I make cookie dough.
I love sunroofs, stars, down sleeping bags, comforters and jackets, wine, thunderstorms, snowballs, driving, waterfalls, the sound of waves and aspen trees in the wind, the smell of pine trees, winding roads, breakfast, sunsets, reef sandals...

I am not sure how to sum myself up, but here goes....I am positive, open minded, energetic, but relaxed, focused, independent, secure, sweet, considerate and kind, and I seek these qualities in the people I share my time with. I am open to all ideas and activities, whether its a new outdoor activity (though I do many of them), or a new art gallery. What is important is to enjoy your time with others, whatever you choose to do!
I have traveled a fair amount, and am looking to do more of both domestic or international traveling-perhaps England or Australia next. I am fairly busy and independent, but am really interested in branching out of my current life a bit, and doing new things with someone..
I really enjoy eating out, and enjoy virtually all types of food. As far as night life is concerned, I am just as happy in a club as I am in a quiet wine bar or a ball game. I am pretty active, but also really enjoy nights in. I am not interested in playing games, and really enjoy meeting women that are happy, honest, secure, and confident with themselves and their place in life. I also truly enjoy giving flowers to women like this..specifically those to whom I am physically and spiritually attracted to.
I am truly about as lighthearted as they come, though I don’t shy away from discussing important issues with friends or partners. I just read “Deep Survival”, and found its discussion of the negotiation of important dichotomies in life very interesting and very important. Life isn’t necessarily about “being” something, but also about realizing the problem of also “not being” the opposite at the same time…I love being grubby, but also really like to look nice and dress well!
I seek to be the best person, brother, partner, educator, student, son, lover, etc. that I can. Life to me is about bettering yourself and those close to you, while just making the world a better place to live in. I seek someone with similar ideals, who wants to explore all life has to offer with someone else, and sees the value in this. I seek someone who needs me, but is independent, someone I need, someone I can depend on, and someone I cant wait to see again! Before all of this though, laughter and friendship come first, whether this means riding at Vail, staying in with wine and a movie, getting coffee, or just making jackasses of ourselves...laughter is the best elixir!
