Some of the most exotic places on my list include New Zealand, Africa and, if possible, Christmas Island. I'll visit a friend in Moscow next year. I did a solo adventure to Laguna Beach and along the way got to see the Grand Canyon at dawn, the Mojave Desert (long drive alone), Joshua Tree and Palm Springs. I got to Laguna just in time for sunset. Ahh! One thing I am more passionate about than this is sharing these adventures with a significant other and at a ripe old age looking back together on life well spent.

After eighteen years on the ocean, I moved to Boulder to attend CU. I traveled far and wide throughout my childhood and had the privilege of seeing much of the world by the time I finished college. One of the things I really love about traveling is that I learn more about myself, about life and about the world than in any classroom. I've very active and exercise almost daily, enjoying just about everything under the sun. I hike most mornings with my two dogs and I love tennis, volleyball, basketball, frisbee golf and kung fu, to name a few. I'm also really into gardening and love spending my weekends in the summer working outside in the dirt ;) When I'm anywhere on the water, I like to scuba dive, snorkel, kayak and paddleboard. I've been a vegetarian most of my life, but only recently found the perfect response to the many inquiries I get wondering why I don't eat meat. The answer, simply, is metta. If you don't know what that means, it's definitely a word you should look up. I went to culinary school briefly to ensure my survival (sarcasm relating to being single) and learned a few tricks of the trade, but I wouldn't say I've developed any serious skills worth bragging about. I've also been an avid photographer since I was a teen. I shoot landscape, wildlife and underwater photography and have become more passionate about "painting with light" as I get older. Though I don't write regularly, I've always been interested in creative writing and to date have written several short stories, both fiction and non. When I look back at my life through the stories I've written, I realize how amazing my 34 years have really been. Though I don't touch on it in any of my writings, I've been to over 50 countries and have spent literally years of my life (collectively) abroad. Those times have lead to some of the most amazing and memorable experiences in my life!
