Date men from United States / Colorado / Boulder, 35 year old - page 2

Date a man from Boulder, United States. Does this online dating thing really work? I think its suspect, but maybe you can prove me wrong?
About me: I'm a former athlete and educator turned environmental policy professional. I work a lot and love to play!
I grew up in Colorado, and traveled around the country frequently as a kid. I'm very close to my parents and the rest of my family.
I've lived in lots of cool places, but Colorado is home. I travel around the state frequently for work and play, but it would be nice to have company. I have great friends scattered in all directions, but I could be better at keeping in touch with them regularly. I will, on occasion, load up my truck, and go visit them however. What I'm missing is a true partner and companion to share all of this with...
That and more frequent visits to a beautiful beach with a great break.
I'm a very organized person, in all aspects of my life - but that doesn't mean I'm boring. I take on chaotic and complex projects sometimes, just for the challenge. My past relationship is no exception - but I can tell you about that later, if your really interested.
I like to meditate, and do yoga when I make time for it.
I really enjoy having a clean house - my friends would say its a reflection of who I am (clean/organized), but for me it just saves time and stress and helps me relax when I come home from doing other things.
I love cooking at home - just not by myself. I like discovering a great restaurant that does a better job than I can in the kitchen (or bar). I think I'm a closet foodie, but dont like to be pretentious - just appreciative.
I love to grow my own food, and am a big supporter of local small-scale organic growers.
I have a deep appreciation for the arts, and most things in my life reflect those influences. At least the good things do...
About my match: I'm looking for someone that is passionate and active, but can help me balance work with everything else. Must be fun, a critical thinker, and enjoy conversation. Oh, must have more than a high school education, and not be held up by lots of emotional baggage - though i'm willing to help you move on. Ideally, someone who can be equally comfortable in old jeans and a t-shirt, or getting muddy, or attending black-tie benefits (maybe all in the same day)! I want a partner who is interested in experiencing new places/things with me, LAUGHING A LOT, and enjoys contributing to your community (however you define it). I value education and learning, and I hope to find someone that is engaged in learning new things, and is excited to pass it on - maybe even to children someday. I'd love to find someone that wants to travel, visit museums, kayak, surf, snowboard or ski, climb, hit the town, or just curl up in front of the fireplace with me after we cook dinner. To start though, maybe just an email or lunch?
I know that I should be making the first move on match, but that hasn't worked for me yet. I'd love it if you would send me a message - I think that may be the only way I'll know if you are serious about finding YOUR match.

Meet someone special from Boulder, United States. On second thought, I probably shouldn't call myself a cowboy but I do have a little country in me and I did grow up in Idaho. In fact, I only just moved to Boulder for work. Like many others here, I find the task of describing myself a bit awkward. I am a modest person by nature but, considering the objective of this website, that isn't going to do me much good.
Since I like to cook, lets start this thing off recipe style:
Spirit a la Tyler
- Three parts young professional
- Two parts ski bum
- One part nerd (in an endearing sort of way)
- One part jock (in a healthy sort of way)
- One part cowboy (see above)
- One part gardener
- One part Dude (if you've seen the Big Lebowski, you know what I'm talking about)
- One part Walter (if you've seen the Big Lebowski, you know what I'm talking about)
- One part mountain man
I'm also an engineer so that means I use lots of lists; here are some to help fill in the blanks:
Things I love
- Family and friends (duh...who doesn't)
- Good food with good people
- Natural beauty
- Live music
- Eyes that smile
- Beautiful character (a rare find in today's "me-first" society)
- Anything with the word honkytonk in it
- Books (If anyone wants to get me a present, you can't go wrong here)
Things I hate
- Mean people (again...duh)
- Politicians (am I the only one that thinks they're the root of our country's problems)
- Birds that won't leave my garden alone
- Inefficiency (part of being a nerd I guess)
- Passive-aggressiveness
- Suburbia
- People who don't use their brain (see politicians)
- Having my picture taken (maybe that's why its so hard to find a good picture to upload)
Things I'm good at
- Conversation
- Treating people with respect (thanks mom and dad)
- Bar games
- Entertaining myself (that's not what I mean...pervert)
- Staying busy (If anyone has too many hobbies, its probably me)
- Kissing
- Microsoft Excel
Things I'm bad at
- Giving someone the truth they need when they don't want it (It sucks making people feel bad)
- Humoring idiots
- Fighting (just a guess since I've never been in one)
- Crossword puzzles
Things I'm getting better at
- Golf (I think my game may have turned a corner since I just broke 90 for the first time)
- Cooking (the secret to being a good gardener)
- Gardening
- Sudoku
- Guitar (still have a looooong way to go...good thing country songs are easy to play)
- Trading stocks
Ok, there is your snapshot. I can't say what I'm really looking for out of this. Remember, I'm new in town so I would really like to meet some new friends and explore this great area. If someone special comes along then I'll consider that a bonus. I still have lots of secrets to divulge so feel free to get in touch.

Date single man from Boulder, United States. I sound way too serious when I write formally, so I’ll keep it simple. There are a lot of I’ statements below, but that’s what you’re here for so check it out:
I made the humbling mistake of getting married when I was 22, got divorced 2 years later, no kids. Seems like a lifetime ago. I didn’t see a checkbox for that on match, so I chose never married’ so that they wouldn’t rule me out in your search. Smile, it’s funny.
I’m a total sucker for a beautiful woman with a gorgeous smile.
I put a tremendous amount of effort into the things that interest me, and not so much effort into things that don’t. Entrepreneurship, fitness, self improvement, learning, traveling, playing, good friendships, and pretty girls interest me.
I travel quite a bit for work, so I’ll be sure to make my time with you count.
I’m very candid, it cuts through a lot of crap in life.
I’m very picky about what I want in a woman. I have a hard time accurately explaining it, but I know it when I see it. The basics are class, charisma, beauty, genuineness, presence, and communication ability. I expect you to be just as picky.
I have a lot of love and respect for the women that were previously in my life in serious relationships. We always become very close friends. Nasty breakups don’t happen in my world (knock on wood). I don’t expect that to change because I’m attracted to genuinely good people and I treat people with respect.
I’m human, so I’m generally attracted initially to very beautiful women, but not ones that are obsessed with it. If you are a snob for high fashion, you probably won’t approve of the basic flip flops and T-shirts that I like to wear. I’m looking to find a lot more than that initial physical attraction.
I have an appreciation for some of the finer things in life’, but I don’t need or crave them. You may find me wearing a tailored designer suit, but underneath I’m wearing underwear from Target and socks that may not be a perfect match.
This site is fine for initial contact, but let’s get real. Attraction and relationships develop from live interaction. Written communication is a very small piece of the puzzle.
I have proof of a bachelors and masters degrees somewhere in storage. I somehow performed at a high level in scholastics, so I hope to be able to hold intelligent conversation with you.
When I’m trying to make money, I’m doing healthcare consulting. I enjoy it immensely, if the time comes that I don’t, I’ll find something else to do.
I tremendously enjoy self improvement and try to always keep some positive tension in my life that pushes me away from my comfort zone.
I rarely watch tv but would be open to watching more if you could convince me that it would make my life better to do so. I enjoy some of the showtime/hbo series because they cuss a lot.
I’m not afraid to use smiley faces on text.
I like to smile, and I’m acquiring the wrinkles to prove it.
I’m easily annoyed by the use of improper grammar. Sorry.
I was raised catholic, but enjoy non-denominational churches. It is more important to me to have a strong connection rather than follow certain rituals.
I try to model the ideals of true iconoclasts-If you’re not surrounded by the circumstances you want, create them. I am madly attracted to women who have the same mindset.
I’m brand new to Boulder and here by choice. Therefore you know I enjoy exercise and being outdoors. You may find me at a bar having a drink as well, but it’s unlikely you’ll find me there drunk at 2am.
I won’t respond to your email, wink, etc, if you have pics posted in front of your bathroom mirror, in your car, or somewhere else that highlights your lack of resourcefulness. Sorry in advance, please don’t take offense. You are entitled to your own style.
If you live with passion and you think that we would be attracted to each other, please email me! Thanks for checking me out!

Meet a soulmate from Boulder, United States. I'm a fun loving guy and a great drummer. I've been playing in bands for fifteen years now. My latest band writes very inspirational music that reflects who I am. I love playing music and doing the occasional DJ gig. I love records and making people smile. It would be nice to meet a wonderful lady that would stand by my side and support my musical dreams. We all need an inspiration to keep on rocking! I would be there as well to support your dreams. I guess the thing that makes me smile the most is being on stage rocking the crowd. I just love seeing people smile and dance! I guess the woman I would be hoping to attract would be cool with the rock and roll lifestyle. What I mean by that is the non-stop band practice and shows that can pop up anytime. It would be great to look out into that crowd and see your beautiful eyes!

Date a man from Colorado, United States. I'm an easy going dad of two wonderful boys. They are the best thing I have ever known. I like things simple, fun, and exciting. I love the outdoors, and spending time with my kids and dog. I am not one to get upset of over much and am a problem solver in any situation. I have traveled the world and country and love exploring new places. As for a partner, I am looking for exactly that. A partner. I want someone who I can laugh with, play with, and does not expect me to be their provider in every situation. A relationship should be 50/50 not 30/70. I would like someone who I can trust though thick and thin and does not mind if something goes out of order. I'm a roll with the punches kind of guy and am looking for the same in a partner and friend. Life is filled with greatness and I would like to find someone to share those experinces with. Weather it be an ice cave in Italy or surfing in mexico, I need someone that can enjoy those things right along with me. When life gives you lemons make really good lemonaid.

Meet someone special from Colorado, United States. So I'm sorta new to the Boulder area and am looking for someone to explore and experience all that Boulder (and beyond) has to offer! Not looking for any games, it would be nice to find that special someone. I'm a music producer and like most types of music, so I would love to check out some shows. Your single, I'm single.. shall we go have some fun?

Date single man from Colorado, United States. I'm an open honest dedicated person. I'm from the east coast originally so my humor is often dealt in sarcasm but never in a mean way. I love to laugh and hear others laugh even more. I've always worked hard and I'm learning that playing hard is even more fun! I'm a proud father of one amazing boy. I love to laugh, learn, and have fun with my friends and family. I've lived in the south during my college years and I've been in CO for the last 9. I've lived in some very diverse places, so I'm friends with many diverse and amazing people.
I love to snowboard in the winter (hit 30 days last year) and play golf whenever I can. I like to dance when the music is right! I like movies on the big screen and at home. I would love to write a screenplay one day; maybe I'll start after I finish with this profile.
I enjoy eating healthy foods. I recently changed my eating habit to include more organic plant based foods and I feel better then ever. I will occasionally drink good beer or wine.
I love all music. I love Red Rocks and will go see just about anyone there!
I've learned over the years that what I do for work does not define who I am, although I'm proud of what I've done and will do.
I love to travel.
As you can see I have no problems dressing up in costumes! I love Halloween!

Meet a soulmate from Colorado, United States. We are all goofy. There is something about us that is slightly off center, and for that we keep seeking our partner/equal.
We enjoy the following:
Stout month rocks
Think BSG is the bomb
Love the cold
Coffee is on par with beer
Hate cigarettes, but love the smell of a good pipe tobacco
Think chucking pumpkins from trebuchets is cool
A 10-mile snowshoe to a hut is joyous
Will cook with their partner, and find that the occasional brush an invitation to kiss
would enjoy the lesser than the more
Tall, dark (by Northern European standards) and handsome (my mother says so) seeking an adventure. Let the search begin, or we can plod doing nothing
Would you like to join me on that adventure? I don't have an ideal match, seeing what presents itself and going with the flow.
On a lark, I invaded Canada. It was easy, conquered it all in two days. Renamed it New Morocco, and made into a big bazaar.

Date a man from United States. Does the number 42 mean anything to you? Oh and yes I have a canoe and I'm not afraid to use it. I suppose I should say something about myself. Well, I like to be outdoors. I like to be above treeline. I like to ski. Other than that you'll have to find out yourself.

Meet someone special from United States. Hey You! Super Hottie Girl.
Let's paint the town, fall in love, travel the world, move to paradise on the north shore of Kauai and start a cool business together so we can set our own schedule and be together everyday.
The time is now. Costa Rica and Nicaragua for surf season. If you don't surf, I will teach you. Start swimming and doing push ups. We will eat amazing food, stay in some crusty places, get "tourista" and cure it w/ the best suppositories.
Ultralite/Jetboil gourmet adventures to waterfalls/volcanoes are ahead. Then, it's back to Colorado for the peak of snowboard season. Then, the Westfalia/mountain bike/hot spring trip thru Ned/west mag, Steamboat, Jackson/Yellowstone, Glacier/Whitefish, Canada/BC, down the pacific coast, Grand Canyon/Sedona, up thru Moab, end in Steamboat at Strawberry Springs.
Then, back to Kauai for July, over to Bali in August, back to Boulder for multimedia work w/ a trip to NYC/Boston before winter to break it up. Then, back to Mexico/Costa rica, etc.
Can you groove w/ this?
P.S. I had to leave for Costa Rica-Nicaragua early and will be in remote places most of the time. I will join match when I return to Boulder in late feb early march.
Pura Vida,

Date single man from United States. Just looking around with little expectations here... probably like you. I'm a single professional in Boulder who enjoys all things Colorado. Looking for an open-minded, easy-going, and ambitious woman who feels like only being herself. I'd like someone with humility, that is very very attractive to me and trumps many things. Action nor words speak louder than simply being whomever you are... don't need to prove anything to me.
She would laugh proudly and with sense of purpose, smile knowingly, carry herself with swagger, wink in a crowded room, turn with confidence.... and likely ram her shin in the dishwasher door frame with no worries.

Meet a soulmate from United States. Hey there,
My name is James and I am looking to meet a new friend to spend some time with.
I'm a laid back guy who is not much into the bar seen. My friends say I’m sarcastic, spontaneous, and sometime goofy. I like to enjoy my surroundings and don’t sweat the small stuff. When I can, I love to get outdoors and play (camping, biking, or just exploring). The spontaneous side of me loves to try new things. I get an itch to try something out and go for it. MMA, Adventure races, and Disc golf tournaments are a couple examples. I’m also looking forward to some road trips in 2012! When I’m stuck in town I like comedy clubs, Rockies games, flea markets or just chilling on a deck with a Marg. My co-workers say I'm career driven, focused, and ambitious. My career is important to me and I believe that I am good at what I do. My opinion is that we all have to be at work for a certain amount of time so why not make the best of it. But once my work day is over I don’t take my work home with me. I would like to own my own business one of these days so work life won’t seem so much like “work”.
I have recently moved to the area and am still getting to know where everything is at. So I am always on the lookout for good eats or a new place to hang in the area.
As far as the type of person I'm looking to meet, if you are genuine and a good natured person we will hit it off just fine.
