I work as a strategic business analyst for a financial institution. I have an undergraduate degree in economics and a masters in finance. I like my job a bunch but I don't think it's going to be enough to keep my challenged for more than a couple years. So I am thinking about possibly moving on to a start up company that could be much more challenging and rewarding. Wouldn't happen for quite some time if at all but it something I have been thinking about.
I am the type of guy who has a very strong thirst for knowledge and is always trying to learn new things. I really enjoy adventure and stepping away from the norm of everyday life. Currently I am working on a degree in oceanography for no other reason than it fascinates me. I really just like learning new things and the classroom environment so I figured why not?
In my free time I tend to read a lot. I also work out a few times a week to stay in shape. My number one hobby is spear fishing and lobster diving. If you want to learn more about it feel free to ask. I try and swim a few time a week to keep me in shape for free diving. I also like to go out and hit the town with friends when I get the chance. I went to a party school (UCSB) so I can go wild when the time calls for it.
My ideal match is just someone who has the same sense of humor as me. I have a very dry, witty, almost British sense of humor and it's definitely not for everyone. I have more than a few friends that tell me when we first met they thought I was a total duesh. Mostly they thought some of my subtle jokes were series when in fact they were not. So apperently sometimes I take a little getting used too but well worth it once you do.
